Cadhay suits those who are looking for somewhere romantic, atmospheric and individual to extend their wedding celebrations over a longer period of time than a single day. Here you occupy the entire property for a long weekend or a full week or more, extending your celebrations to create a lasting and unforgettable house party for your family and friends. Cadhay provides a magnificent and calm setting to enjoy this most important moment in life reflectively, even once the main ceremony and party have finished.

A stay at Cadhay allows you and your guests the exclusive use of the house and its magnificent gardens, thus allowing you to create a wedding that is unique for you. It is a bit like getting married in your own home – albeit an Elizabethan manor!

Most weddings take place at Cadhay between May and September, because the gardens are at their best, and provide an exceptional venue for the most romantic of weddings, irrespective of size. However, Cadhay is also ideal for a small, cosy winter wedding.

Should you choose a civil ceremony, there are three possible rooms in the manor house for a maximum of 40 people. There is also a licence for the Granary and Tearoom for up to 110 guests or the Bothy in the Water Garden.For your reception you have the choice of the Tea Room for up to 70 people or hiring a marquee for the number of guests of your choice.

Working alongside our chosen caterers and marquee suppliers, you are free to incorporate your own special and very personal wishes into your wedding day, creating a style and mood that truly reflects who you are. If you wish to be married in church, then Cadhay is an ideal “home” to be married from, and to return to, for your reception. Quite simply – it is your dream day.

Cadhay accommodates 22 people. Several bedrooms have four-poster beds, adding to the romantic atmosphere. If you need extra space, there is the newly converted Cider Press (sleeps 2) plus the Stables and Coach House (both sleeping 6).

## Facilities

- **Dog Friendly:** Up to 3 well behaved, house trained dogs are welcome. £20 each.
- **Accessibility:** Ground floor: Double or twin bedroom and adjacent shower room suite. Level gardens.
- **WiFi:** There is a landline, broadband and mobile signal at Cadhay.
- **Kitchen:** Large fully equipped kitchen with electric oven and AGA. Seating for informal dining for 10. 3 fridges, freezer, pantry, scullery with 2 dishwashers.
- **Dining Room:** For formal dining and special occasions, or a relaxed supper party, there is a magnificent Dining Room seating 22. Outdoor dining in the Courtyard.
- **Sitting Room:** There are four sitting rooms allowing space and flexibility - the library and living hall, with wood burners, the drawing room, and the snug, with TV.
- **TV and Music Facilities:** The Library and snug have TVs as does the sitting room in the Peere Williams suite. There is also a radio and a CD player.
- **Games Room:** There is table tennis equipment set up in the House. Croquet for the garden.
- **Heating and Open Fires:** There is central heating throughout, and wood burning stoves in the Dining Room, Library and Living Hall. Wood is provided.
- **Bedrooms:** Cadhay has 12 bedrooms sleeping up to 22 (9 doubles, 2 twins, 1 single). There are 3 4-poster beds, Cot available.
- **Linen:** White cotton bed linen is provided, as are towels. Please bring your own beach towels. White table linen for the Dining room is available to hire.
- **Bathrooms:** Cadhay has 9 bathrooms, 2 shower-rooms, 1 being on the ground floor and suitable for disabled guests. There are 3 more separate loos.
- **Children's Facilities:** Games room with table tennis, TV/DVD player, extensive gardens and grounds for play - the best hide and seek in Devon!
- **Outdoor:** Lawns, peaceful corners of the garden, around 2 mediaeval stew ponds. Nearby river walks and cycle paths. Barbecue and seating for outdoor dining.
- **Swimming Pool:** There is no swimming pool on site, but Exeter, Honiton, Sidmouth, Exmouth and Topsham (outdoor only) all have pools.
- **Parking:** There is ample parking adjacent to the house.
- **Smoking:** Cadhay is non smoking.

- Please contact Helen for details of latest weekly/weekend rates. Prices range from £63pppn. Minimum 3 night weekend stay starting Friday evening, full weeks if in school holidays, mid-week’s not available. £750 damage deposit that is returned if all is well after your stay.
