Cae Du is a self catering holiday house sleeping 12, in a fantastic location with river frontage, near the coast and mountains of the Snowdonia National Park. With plenty of activities and other attractions to choose from, this is a great setting for a family holiday, active getaway with friends or relaxing short break.

The house is spacious and well arranged for a large group. The dining area seats 12 to 14 adults and there are 2 comfortable lounges. There is a well equipped kitchen and utility room, and a really handy cloak/boot room. There's also a games room and large screen TV and music system to keep your group entertained.

Cae Du offers a total of 6 bedrooms (3 twins, 3 doubles), with 2 bedrooms having riverside balconies. Of the 4 bathrooms all have showers and 2 have baths, 1 of which is a Jacuzzi bath.

Outside there are 14 acres of grounds to explore and enjoy, with a river-facing patio area with barbecue, dining table and seating. The garden has a riverside walk, summer house and veranda, with a children's swings and slide area. There is ample secure off road parking.

The house is central located for many activities close by, from zip wires, to tree top adventures, world class mountain biking, hiking, climbing, kayaking - the list goes on. There are also many historic castles and interesting villages to explore. In a location between 2 coastlines, the fantastic coastal path offers some great beach walks and there's the opportunity for special days on the beach. Although a car is almost essential, there are walking paths from the house without needing to use transport.

Bookings can be made Friday to Friday, Friday to Monday and Monday to Friday except for Christmas and New Year. Please note at peak times we only offer full weekly lets.

No specific facilities although we do have a ground floor bedroom and bathroom.

A land line for incoming calls and emergencies, WiFi throughout the house, a reasonable mobile connection.

Kitchen

6 ring gas hob, dishwasher, double oven, microwave, coffee maker, slow cooker, toaster, bread maker, rice cooker and all accoutrements needed.

Dining Room

Large dining table and seating for 12/14, with a piano too.

Sitting Room

Two lounges at Cae Du: large lounge with 4 couches, television, and music player; small quiet lounge with desk, couch and 2 armchairs and many books.

TV and Music Facilities

Large screen TV with Humax and Freesat, music player

Games Room

The games room has air hockey, table football, lego and children's toys, many board games and a couch.

Heating and Open Fires

All centrally heated.

1 double queen en suite with balcony, 1 standard double, 1 king size double, 1 twin with balcony, 1 twin, 1 ground floor twin.

Linen

All beds made up, with hand and bath towels provided. Tea towels too.

Bathrooms

1 Jacuzzi bathroom with shower, 1 en suite shower w/c and bidet twin basin, 1 shower room with w/c bidet and basin, 1 G/F bathroom w/c shower, basin.

Children's Facilities

2 high chairs, 2 cots and mattresses, stair gates, children toys and games.

Outdoor

Barbecue, table and chairs, benches throughout garden. Children's play area with swings and slide, summer house and lookout. 14 acres, river frontage.

Swimming Pool

There is no swimming pool but there is a natural pool in the river.

Plentiful parking in 2 areas.

Smoking

No smoking in the house please.

Booking Information

Includes all heating costs, bedding, towels and every day consumables.
Weekly lets: Friday to Friday, 7 nights (Christmas exception).
Weekend: Friday to Monday, 3 nights.
Midweek: Monday to Friday, 4 nights.
15% non returnable deposit, balance 8 weeks prior to stay.
Arrive 3pm depart 10am.

Cae Du stands alone between Dolwyddelan and Betws-Y-Coed on the A470 road with easy access to many attractions and 20 miles from either coastline. Walks from the house.

Llanwrst 6 miles, although the nearer large town is Llandudno, some 23 miles from the house.
Dolwydellan, 1 mile with Spar and a pub.
Dolwyddelan, with Betws-Y-Coed 5 miles with many restaurants, pubs and shops.
Liverpool.
Pont-Y-Pant 0.5 mile away with trains to Llandudno and Llandudno Junction.
Stops outside the house by request.
