Come away together with friends, family or colleagues and enjoy a digital detox, whilst embracing nature in a beautiful setting. A wonderful venue for special family occasions, girls getaways and corporate events with a difference.

The Campwell village has fantastic rustic facilities with showers, composting toilets, a sauna, communal kitchens (with self catering equipment provided) and shelters. You'll feel part of the woods, hearing wildlife and taking in the views across the valley. You can even hike down to the lake in the bottom of the valley which is popular for wild swimming. The wilderness is yours, an oasis of tranquility that feels miles from home, but just 6 miles from the City of Bath. While you’re here, go foraging for food, hiking the hills (via village pubs), or join in with a class including yoga, wild fitness, archery, paddle boarding or bushcraft.

The site was created as a labour of love from green woodworker Tim Gatfield, with the resulting venue encompassing a carefully created, low-impact village of shelters and lodges in a woodland valley. You’ll step out of time, immediately reconnecting with nature, the stillness and sounds of the wilderness entering your soul. This unique site has been built over the last 15 years, using local resources and calling on the community of like-minded folk, united in their love to create and be part of the natural world. The structures on site have been handcrafted using timber from the surrounding woodland and ancient building techniques, conversing with the environment rather than interrupting it.

At Campwell we also offer green woodwork, re-wilding, shanty singing, animation workshops and many more. Just ask. Corporate groups looking for something different for their team will find it here.
