## About The Property

Cannon Barn is a converted 1824 Sussex wheat barn which is approached down a long drive in unspoilt rolling countryside on a 90 acre farm in the heart of East Sussex. The conversion took us, in all, 6 years. We have lovingly restored the barn keeping all the original features but also providing a spacious, comfortable holiday home

Boring House Farm is a small working farm with sheep. We also have 3 small ponds on the farm and a stream running through so if you are inclined to fishing you are very welcome to use them. There are carp in the ponds and brook trout in the stream. Also there are many footpaths in the area (there is one running across the farm) so if it is walking you like there are plenty to choose from.

At the end of your walk there is nearly always a pub to quench your thirst and a meal to fill the enormous appetite you will have built up. There are many pubs in our area to choose from with a variety of menus to tempt all tastes.

There are many varied attractions for all ages to enjoy. There are several local towns to explore, including Heathfield, Horam, Hellingly and Hailsham. There is an 11 mile trail which follows the former Cuckoo Line railway track and is popular with walkers, cyclists and horse riders.

Burwash Village has a beautiful 17th century Jacobean house, Batemans, which was once the home of writer Rudyard Kipling. The attractive town of Battle gets its name from the Battle of Hastings and boasts an abbey built by William the Conqueror.

The Sussex coast, with its famous Seven Sisters chalk cliffs, and the resorts of Eastbourne, Brighton and Hastings are easily reached and the Sussex Downs are a delight for walkers.

We must not leave out the children, there is plenty to see and do just to name two - Drusilla's Zoo Park and Knockhatch.

In the barn there are plenty of brochures to look at. We also have Wi-Fi for on-line browsing.

We have a 4 Star rating.
