Cardfields can offer you the perfect unique secluded beautiful location venue in Essex at which to hold your bespoke do-it-yourself wedding and create your magic moments.

Cardfields aim is to offer the best wedding service in Essex without breaking your budget. Having five acres of grounds gives you the space and opportunity to create your own personal theme for your special day. Cardfields staff will always be available to offer support to the wedding party guests.

We have a team of experts who are passionately committed to make everything right for you on your important day. The five acres of grounds can give you the opportunity to erect a marquee (additional cost) and make full use of the grounds. Self-catering allows you to use outside caterers or self-cater or both, so you can personalise your wedding and keep control of your budget.

We can provide you with the details of plenty of wedding suppliers (see our website for information) including caterers, marquee hire, DJs, bands, sax player, hog roast, florists, vintage ice cream van and other service providers who have done an excellent job with previous weddings/celebrations held here, at reasonable prices.

By way of example: in August 2017 there was a festival themed wedding in the beautiful grounds. The marquee looked fantastic on the lawn with plenty of space for 200 guests and bands to relax and enjoy.

Another couple opted for a picnic within the beautiful gardens following a festival theme in the sunshine. A crèche was set up using our conference facilities to give families time to relax and enjoy the wedding picnic whilst the children had fun with lots of activities and were looked after by caring experienced crèche workers.

## Facilities

- **Dog Friendly:** Not permitted.
- **Accessibility:** There is one en suite wheelchair-accessible bedroom.
- **WiFi:** There is a payphone and WiFi, and there is good mobile phone reception.
- **Kitchen:** Groups can prepare meals in the large, well-equipped kitchen that has everything you'll need. Or you can opt for full board and have all food prepared
- **Dining Room:** The light, airy dining room is the perfect place to enjoy your meals, with seating for 36 people. Extra seating can be made available if needed.
- **Sitting Room:** We have a large lounge where you can chill out on the comfy sofas, watch TV or a film, play games or read. You can even borrow a karaoke machine!
- **TV and Music Facilities:** There is a large-screen wall-mounted TV with a DVD player.
- **Games Room:** There is a large games room with a pool table, table tennis and an area for arts and crafts.
- **Heating and Open Fires:** The premises has full central heating, and it's warm and cosy even in the winter time.
- **Bedrooms:** There are 11 bedrooms sleeping up to 56. Beds are clean and comfortable, so everyone gets a great sleep. Mostly bunks, and twin rooms with single beds
- **Linen:** Clean linen and extra blankets are provided.
- **Bathrooms:** Shower blocks are fitted with brand new showers, and there is also a bath with shower. Bedrooms are fitted with basins and there are plenty of toilets
- **Children's Facilities:** Cardfields is ideal for children, with fully equipped classrooms and a range of board games in the lounge. There is also plenty to do outdoors.
- **Outdoor:** Set in five acres with football pitch, floodlit games area, BMX cycle tracks/bikes, outdoor table tennis, climbing structure, secret garden + more!
- **Parking:** Car/coach parking is available on site and if required we ask that you inform us at the time of booking.
- **Smoking:** Not permitted.

- Self-catering prices start from £2,550 for two-nights with multiple catering options available. We are able to accommodate up to 55 people – please contact us for details. There is a £500 deposit payable upon arrival.
