Visit Arbroath Abbey where the declaration of Scottish Independence was signed in 1320, fly back in time at the Montrose Air Station Heritage Centre. Alternatively, Dundee is only 15 minutes away and you can jump on a train and visit the New V & A and RS Discovery, leaving your car behind.
