Dog friendly holiday house by the Menai Bridge sleeping 16 with a covered pool and hot tub for family get togethers in Anglesey
Holiday Rental for Groups of Families and Friends. Cartrefle, Menai Bridge, Anglesey, North Wales, sleeps 7 - 16 in 7 bedrooms.
Cartrefle is set in an elevated position on the banks of the Menai Straits on the Isle of Anglesey. It was built in 1876 in the arts and crafts style by Sir Charles and Lady Isham as their Welsh retreat. Over the years industrialists and bishops have enjoyed this spacious home with wonderful views of the Menai Straits and Snowdonia.
Following our recent renovation, Cartrefle is ready to impress once again with contemporary comforts, gorgeous colours and stunning views. The 7 bedrooms sleep 16 guests, with the dining room able to seat the whole group, and a spacious sitting room enjoying spectacular views. The covered pool is available between May and September. There are also extensive gardens and a hot tub to relax in after a day's walk. The verandah stretches the full width of the house - providing additional outside dining space and excellent views.
The towns of Menai and Beaumaris are a short distance away for highly rated restaurants, pubs and cafes to enjoy throughout the day and night, while the bridges - all within sight of the house - provide easy access to all that North Wales, Anglesey and Snowdonia have to offer.
We want you to enjoy your stay and share a number of recommendations on our website for restaurants (there are many good ones), pubs, outings, walks and the growing number of adventures available in the area. We have children of our own, so know what they may like to do locally as well (including the ice cream parlour voted in the "top 20 places to get an ice cream in the UK").
We have also aimed to do what we can to help the environment at Cartrefle. We recommend travelling to the area via train to Bangor and can recommend local car hire companies to you. There are a growing number of EV charging points, including some just 10 minutes from the house. There are also bus options available on your doorstep. We use a local recycling company whose aim is to be the Gold Standard in recycling in the UK. Electric energy used in the house is Green and we carbon offset our gas use.
