Castell Coch is refurbished and ready to welcome extended families and friends for a holiday by the sea or for the celebration of a milestone anniversary. Castell Coch is an impressive detached holiday house on the Llyn Peninsula, distinguished by a high pitched roof and tall chimneys, and set in a beautiful enclosed garden backing onto fields. Traditional features have been retained including high ceilings and picture windows which sit alongside modern conveniences essential for a 21st century group stay.
The kitchen diner is a central hub, well equipped with appliances as well as a farmhouse table for 12, perfect for a family dinner and drinks. There are 2 good sized lounges with comfortable seating, wood burners and a TV, providing separate spaces for a mixed age group. The snug is a warm welcoming room too, again with seating and a wood burner.
Castell Coch is set in very pretty mature grounds and gardens with seating for relaxing to take in the wonderful coastal views, and with a luxury hot tub for a soak under the amazing Llyn dark skies. If the weather is fine, fire up the barbecue while the children enjoy the lawn space for a kickabout and the dogs let off steam.
Bedrooms for the 9 guests are configured as kings, a twin and a single. 2 of the rooms are in the old servants quarter, down a couple of steps and forming a more private area. All individually designed, the bedrooms have been decorated using muted tones with splashes of colour, all with terrific views over the garden and the Irish sea.
The Llyn Peninsula is famed for sandy beaches, delights including Penllech, Towyn, Aberdaron, LLanbedrog, Abersoch and Pwllheli for sandy stretches and safe bathing. A trip to Caernarfon Castle is a must do, a Medieval fortress with a fascinating chequered and bloody history. Adventurous walkers might head to Eryri National Park to climb the highest peak.
