Castle Farm sleeps up to 28 in 9 bedrooms across 3 close buildings:

The Farmhouse sleeps 14 in 5 bedrooms

The Cottage sleeps 12 in 3 bedrooms

The Granary sleeps 2 in an external double bedroom.

The Castle (aka Castle Farm) is perfect for any gathering. The house sits all alone and high on a hill, in the heart of the Black Mountains with direct access to the National Park and we believe is the ultimate 'escape from it all' destination within 3 hours from London.

The 40-acre estate which includes woodland, river, nature walk, and direct access to the moors, stands all alone within the wilderness of the Brecon Beacons. This is a fabulous place for lovers of the great outdoors, with superb hill walking from just outside the door. There’s also a riding outfit nearby if trekking with ponies is more your thing. Foodies will be in heaven, pottering around the markets at Hay-on-Wye and Abergavenny and trying restaurants such as The Bull at Craswall. If eating in, the dining room can be extended to seat 28, while the light and airy kitchen can seat a further 10 which has an Aga with view to die for.

All the bedrooms have big, cosy beds, thick duvets and plenty of homely touches. This is not a house for lovers of en-suite facilities, but there are three bathrooms in the farmhouse and two in the cottage. The Cottage is situated just behind the kitchen and has 3 further bedrooms, each with a double bed and bunk bed.

## Facilities

- **Dog Friendly:** Are allowed but please bring their beds.
- **Accessibility:** There is one step free bedroom on the ground floor.
- **Hot Tub:** Fed from a mountain spring. Extra charge made.
- **WiFi:** Rather sadly we have bowed to modern day pressures and have installed a Starlink satellite connection with over 200Mb download speeds.
- **Kitchen:** Very large, with an Aga, extra oven and hob, 2 dishwashers and all the equipment you need to host a big dinner party for 28.
- **Dining Room:** The tables seats 16 but can be extended to seat 30.
- **Sitting Room:** There are 3 seating areas all with very comfy chairs, one with a large Inglenook fireplace and one with a wood burner.
- **TV and Music Facilities:** Sky TV, DVD and CD Player with separate amplifier which you can connect your iPod to.
- **Games Room:** Table football and dartboard.
- **Heating and Open Fires:** Gas boiler central heating and 2 fireplaces in farmhouse and central heating in cottage.
- **Bedrooms:** Very comfy mattresses with warm duvets. There is a mix of chest-of-drawers and wardrobes for storage. One bedroom has ground floor access.
- **Linen:** All linen is pure cotton with goose feather duvets and is provided free of charge.
Bath towels can be provided at a cost of £4.50 per towel.
- **Bathrooms:** Three in the main house, two in the cottage.
- **Children's Facilities:** Some games.
- **Outdoor:** Walking, riding centre, nature, you name it.
- **Swimming Pool:** No swimming pool, but there is a great swim spot in Hay-on-Wye.
- **Parking:** Ample parking is provided.
- **Smoking:** Not inside please.
