## About The Property

The large open entrance hall, impressive staircase and chandelier create an immediate feeling of luxury and space at this detached Aberdeenshire holiday house on the edge of the Cairngorms National Park. With a function room for birthday and other celebrations, Castlewood House is a fantastic venue for bringing together several generations of a family or a group of friends (please note - no groups of under 30's accepted).

A group of keen walkers will enjoy the many tracks from Banchory, including the River Dee Walk, Scolty Hill, and trails around Crathes Castle. Castlewood House is also perfect for corporate gatherings of up to 20 delegates, offering a function room for meetings and teambuilding.

The kitchen diner lounge in the house is open plan, well equipped for group cooking to be enjoyed socially at tables configured to suit, with views onto the stunning mountainscape. The lounge has plenty of space to accommodate the whole group, somewhere to relax and catch up over drinks in the evening. The function room is ideal for the youngsters in the group, with table tennis, pool and table football, a great space away from the grown ups. There's a small area off the hall, too, for playing on a games console. The function space can also be used for a family activity or dancing. On the ground floor there are 3 indoor hot tubs, for fun and relaxation after a day out exploring.

All of the bedrooms are en suite and on the ground floor, comfortable with warm tartan floor coverings and contemporary shower rooms.

Knockburn Loch is only a short drive away, a centre for water sports and increasingly popular open water swimming. Royal family enthusiasts may want to take a trip to Balmoral for a glimpse into royal life at their Highland home, with impressive gardens and an expansive estate. Aberdeen is a good day out for its maritime museum, art gallery and vibrant shopping centre. Stop off at foodie Porthlethen for supper on the way home.
