Caynham Court is a wonderful wedding venue for small and intimate wedding celebrations – the house can sleep 20, the dining room seats 20 and the sitting room easily seats 25. All bedrooms are en suite. We can recommend caterers at all budgets and offer indoor and outdoor space for entertaining and ceremonial purposes. The grounds extend to 5 acres and are perfect for some fabulous wedding photos.

For small weddings, we provide the house, cutlery, a fully fitted kitchen, parking, bedding and towels. You can bring in everything else you need at a budget to suit you. We just charge for the accommodation, which can accommodate the whole wedding party of up to 20.

The house is comfortable and relatively informal – perfect for a relaxed ceremony and celebration, with the opportunity to extend your stay and properly celebrate with your nearest and dearest family and friends over a long weekend or midweek period.

Wedding ceremonies on site or in Ludlow are possible.

Ludlow is just two miles distant, with easy access.

Intricate plasterwork ceiling and windows dating back to the 1790s renovation. Oak floor, fireplace, a huge dining table.

A huge reception room with massive wood burner. Sofas and armchairs seating 25 with ease.

TV and Music Facilities

Music in reception rooms. No TV.

Games Room

There is no games room but board games are provided in the reception rooms.

Heating and Open Fires

Big wood burners in sitting room, oil-fired central heating throughout.

Bedrooms

10 bedrooms. King size beds x 8, standard double x 1, small double x1, Extra bed/sofa bed in two rooms.

Linen

Clean, white linen on beds and towels in en-suites, all professionally laundered.

Bathrooms

Every bedroom has an en-suite (powerful showers, modern fittings, marble tiles, re-fitted in 2018). There are additional lavatories downstairs (2).

Children's Facilities

No specific facilities. We have a sofa bed in one bedroom and one bedroom has an additional small double bed; ideal for a couple with small children)

Outdoor

Garden is about 1 acre, mostly lawn. There are garden seats, BBQ, tables and benches. Also a 4 acre field and trout stream, with parkland walks.

Swimming Pool

There is no pool.

Ample private parking at front and rear of the property. CCTV covered.

Location

2 miles from Ludlow town centre, Caynham Court is on the lower side of Caynham village. Caynham Camp is a 10 minute stroll and the lawns lead into ancient parkland walks in front of the house.

The historic market town of Ludlow is a 5 minute drive. Hereford is 40 minutes south, Shrewsbury 40 minutes north.
Co-op 1.5 miles. Sainsbury's 2 miles. A large Tesco in Ludlow, also Aldi and Majestic (booze), plenty of independent shops and Ludlow's historic market. Ludlow Farm Shop 3 miles.
The Squirrel, 1.5 miles. Ludlow has good pubs & restaurants. We recommend the Dog Hangs Well (parlor pub), The Queens (pub & restaurant), The Angel (wine-bar & restaurant). Mortimer's (fine dining).
Birmingham International (approximately 1.5 hours).
Ludlow, the station is approx 2 miles from the property.
