This is a fabulous friends and 3 generation family holiday chalet close to the Swiss border. It's a great base to explore the Portes du Soleil area in the ski season, with close proximity to ski lifts and the gondola, or during the summer months, when walkers and cyclists will love the amazing trails and opportunities to take in the wonderful mountain scenery or to try out a wide range of other outdoor activities on offer. Chalet Ice is also a good option for corporate gatherings.
The large open plan lounge on the 1st floor, light and airy with floor to ceiling windows, looks out over Morzine and to stunning mountain peaks beyond. This is a catered property for the ski season, with self catering available in the summer. The large dining table is perfect for everyone to enjoy a long dinner together before relaxing on squashy sofas next to the feature fire for a good catch up. There's a barbecue on the balcony and an in-house honesty bar for added convenience. A pool table next to the dining table and ping pong on the balcony adds another fun dimension to this Savoyard chalet.
Downstairs is a Jacuzzi, sauna and shower, for ultimate chill out time and relaxation at the end of an active day on the slopes or hill walking. The Smart TV in the lounge offers Netflix and Amazon Prime access.
Bedrooms are configured as doubles, twins, a quad and a room for 5, ideal for a mixed group. 6 of the rooms have contemporary en suite showers and the 7th has its own facilities.
Portes du Soleil is a fabulous ski area with 12 interlinked French and Swiss resorts, all accessible from Chalet Ice and suitable for all abilities. The town of Morzine itself is lovely at any time of year, always worth a wander to visit the Wednesday market and to sample local Savoyard cuisine at one of a wide range of eateries. There's both an indoor and outdoor pool to enjoy, as well as golf and tennis. Local activities include rafting, canyoning, climbing, paragliding, and of course hiking and mountain biking. Pop across the border into Switzerland for pretty mountain villages or head to Montriond Lake, known as the Emerald Lake, surrounded by magical forests, cliffs and waterfalls.
