Bute is the most easily accessed of the Western Isles and only a short ferry ride from the mainland so perfect for a weekend break.
Chandlers is a wonderfully light-filled house with picture windows at every turn showing off the spectacular views of the open water. The kitchen is fully equipped for preparing large group meals. A wide sociable dining table is a lovely place to gather for long family dinners, and the lounge just the spot to relax over a nightcap. Here you will also find a grand piano, guitars and amps for anyone who wants to make some music, or fire up the karaoke machine to blast out your favourite tunes.
Sitting on the terrace outside at Chandlers is a treat, either chilling in the hot tub, dining al fresco or relaxing with a cocktail in hand from the in-house bar. And you will never get tired of the views from the deck.

This is a delightful island with the contrast of gentle rolling hills, craggy moorland and the best sandy beaches imaginable. There's a wealth of wildlife here, and a stay isn't complete without visiting the seal colony at Scalpsie Bay. The Iron Age Fort at Dunagoil and the standing stones at Ettrick Bay reflect the island's history. Rothesay is a short drive from Chandlers for a range of places to eat and the chance to visit the castle and Bute Museum.
