Chateau de Fretoy offers a romantic setting within a glorious wine producing region of France for your wedding ceremony and celebrations.
At Chateau de Fretoy, different packages are available depending on the size of your wedding celebration. For a ceremony we can offer seated areas for 85 guests in the park or on one of the two terraces. Cocktails can also be enjoyed in either setting. We can also offer the reception room in one of the estate buildings, where there is also a professional kitchen for your caterers. All tables, chairs, tableware and tablecloths can be rent.
Chateau de Fretoy is also able to provide a list of service providers to help you organise your big day. We can advise on the most suitable for your chosen type of celebration.
There is accommodation on the estate for up to 54 people, so why not extend your stay and enjoy a little more valuable time with your nearest and dearest family and friends. If you need further accommodation for some of your guests please ask – we can provide contacts for this too.

Starlink for the castle and orange for the Coach House.

Kitchen

Pro kitchen with 2 pro fridges, freezer, big induction cooker/oven, microwave, pro dishwasher, wine fridge. Tableware/cooking utensils for 54 guests.

Dining Room

The Orangerie in the chateau is a large dining room for up to 52 seated guests. Outside there are three dining terraces with seating and 2 barbecues.

Sitting Room

3 light and airy lounge areas in the chateau, with full length windows, high ceilings and an open fireplace.

TV and Music Facilities

TV room with home cinema and DVD player. A big sound system (bluetooth) can be rented.

Games Room

Table tennis and baby foot. There are also board games and outside games available for visitors to enjoy.

Heating and Open Fires

There is an open fire in the orangery. Central heating throughout the properties at charge of 75 euros per day.

Bedrooms

Chateau: 1st flr - 7 rooms 16 beds. 2nd flr - 5 rooms 16 beds. Singles, 1 double. Coach House: Suites - 3 kings. Gites - 6 doubles, singles, bunks.

Linen

Bed linen and Jacquart bathroom towels are included.

Bathrooms

Chateau: bathrooms are in a tower space and offer 3 showers and 3 WCs per floor. Coach House: facilities in apartments and 3 en suites in the suites.

Children's Facilities

4 travel cots and 3 high chairs are available. Pool area security for children's safety. Outdoor and indoor games.

Outdoor

Access to tennis court. Play area with, swings, football goal, table tennis and tennis court. Outdoor seating, terraces and barbecue.

Swimming Pool

There is a heated covered swimming pool (10x4m, depth from 90cm to 2m). 14 loungers on the sun terrace.

Parking

Ample secure parking on the estate for all vehicles.

Smoking

No smoking permitted inside the properties.

Booking Information

For week long bookings in July and August, changeover is Saturday. For weekends and week long bookings outside the summer holidays it is Friday. Arrivals are from 4pm and departures after 10am. Heating costs are at 75 euros per day and a full clean costs 250 euros. A refundable security deposit of 2000€ is required.

Location

45 minutes from the walled town of Beaune, the capital of Burgundy. The chateau is just 10 minutes from the village of Epinac with range of shops and eatery. Convenient road and rail links.

The Roman town of Autun is 25 minutes away from the property.
Epinac is a village with a restaurant, grocery shop (with butcher) and a bakery. It is 10 minutes drive from the chateau.
There is a range of eateries in nearby Couches to suit all tastes.
Lyon Airport is just under 200km from the chateau and Paris Airport 300km. Geneva airport is just over 200km away.
Gare du Creusot TGV is just 30 minutes away from Chateau de Fretoy.
