The property is ideal for friends and family groups for holidays or celebrations. Weddings and other celebrations have been held in the grounds of the chateau and we would be happy to liaise with your planners.

The chateau is set within a 9 hectare estate with a lake, woodland, meadow, lawns, rose garden, Italian garden and orchard. The medieval motte which is within the grounds is listed in the Historic Monuments in France. The chateau has a mention in The Times top 20 chateaux.

The chateau has two spacious sitting rooms, a dining room, library, WC and kitchen/breakfast room on the ground floor. The 12 bedrooms and the bathrooms are on the upper floors. The third floor comprises a large studio and treatment room. Within the grounds there is a 25m swimming pool and very well equipped gym.

The gite has three double rooms, a bathroom and open plan kitchen/dining/sitting room. The floor plans show the sleeping arrangements. Where there are doors between bedrooms these can be adjoiners, or separate rooms. There is the possibility of extra beds (in the form of truckle beds which are under the existing beds).

The chateau is located in an idyllic location in the Western Loire Valley of France, and is only 2km away from the nearest town with everything one could want: supermarkets, bakeries, butchers, bars, even its own racecourse. The nearest city is (Laval) 15km away, and features a high-speed train connection. Laval is only 1 hour 10 minutes from Paris by train. We are also equidistant to all of the castles of the Loire Valley, Mont St. Michel, the Normandy Beaches, and Brittany, as well as many attractions locally.

The chateau is easily accessible by plane, train, car or ferry.

On-site activities include a 1.5km running trail, fishing, boating and relaxing! There is a decked entertainment area over the lake and several barbecue areas. Locally there are markets, swing golf, a larger swimming lake, a local swimming pool, and a water park (Aquaboule). There is an 85km towpath along the Mayenne river, with opportunities for horse riding, cycling or trekking.

## Facilities

- **Dog Friendly:** A dog may be accommodated by prior arrangement. There is a lot of wildlife in the surrounding area (including deer). There may be a cleaning charge.
- **Accessibility:** The gite has a downstairs bathroom, but all bedrooms are on minimum of first floor.
- **Hot Tub:** Inflatable hot tub available for hire for an additional fee
- **WiFi:** WiFi and landline. Good mobile reception.
- **Kitchen:** Located in a turret. Electric hob, range oven (with two ovens and gas hob), microwave, two sinks, coffee machine, kettles, toaster and dishwasher.
- **Dining Room:** Seats 30. Fully equipped with plates, cutlery and serving dishes. 4 tables for ease of configuration. Breakfast table in kitchen seats 10.
- **Sitting Room:** Two sitting rooms off entrance hall both comfortably seating 15+. One sitting room has TV and open fireplace. Additional turret library.
- **TV and Music Facilities:** Monitor in sitting room for screen or gaming. DVD player. iPod docks and sonos speaker. Projector and drop down screen on third floor studio
- **Games Room:** Whilst no dedicated games room there is a trampoline, table tennis table, 1.5km running track and fishing/kayak on lake. There is a well equipped gym.
- **Heating and Open Fires:** Each of the bedrooms has a biofuel fire for which fuel can be provided on request. The Salon bois has an open fire.
- **Bedrooms:** All have minimum double bed, several are zip and link. Several are family rooms. All have their own bathrooms save for one adjoiner (see floor plans).
- **Linen:** Linen is provided along with a bath and hand towel. Please bring your own swimming towels.
- **Bathrooms:** All bathrooms are en suite to bedrooms (save in gite, where there is one bathroom).
- **Children's Facilities:** Cot beds, high chairs, stair gates are available. Babysitting can be arranged locally.
- **Outdoor:** Three barbecues and several outside dining options, including a decked terrace over the lake and a rose garden. Swimming pool area and pétanque area.
- **Swimming Pool:** There is a 25m, 5 lane swimming pool which can be heated if required. Shower and toilet facilities at the pool area along with lounge deck area.
- **Parking:** Car parking is in the grounds of the chateau. There are no restrictions.
- **Smoking:** No smoking in the chateau or gite.
