Quirky and original, this fantastic restoration project has created a wonderful family holiday house in the heart of bustling Christchurch with amazing views of the Priory and the castle ruins. It's a must visit property for 3 generation families and friends getting together for a break away or to celebrate a special occasion. Chime House is a great base for exploring this part of Dorset, just 10 minutes from Bournemouth and close to some good beaches and walks on the coastal path. It's a 3 storey house with outstanding living areas inside and out along with flexible accommodation for a larger group. Chime House has retained much of the original brick work, ceiling beams and reclaimed wood in this fascinating design project, enhanced by fun and colourful artwork on the walls. The kitchen dining table is made out of wood from a disused pier and the beautiful unit in the dining room made out of 2 French carpenter's benches. The kitchen is enormous, well equipped with shiny wooden flooring and overlooking the Priory and street below. The dining room, adorned with a pretty woodland mural, has a long table for up to 18 guests, perfect for a celebration meal with loved ones. The lounge on the 1st floor is a relaxing space, providing comfy sofas and a large TV for a home cinema experience while the snug on the ground floor is a popular den for the youngsters with its own TV and a games console. The outside spaces add to a wonderful stay at Chime House, with an enclosed garden and lovely roof terrace - either working well for a barbecue and drinks overlooking the town. There are paths from the door leading to the historic landmarks as well as everything that Christchurch has to offer. Bedrooms are individually decorated with quirky features and furniture. The style doesn't compromise on comfort and all of the rooms are spacious and welcoming. The 2 bedrooms on the ground floor are a handy option for young families or guests who are less mobile. The superb location of Chime House means that guests have a really short walk to be able to enjoy eating out or visiting a live music venue. A day at the beach may only take 5 minutes, or head slightly further to Sandbanks - an iconic location and well worth the extra effort.
