This Grade II listed house dating from 1861 has plenty of original character, from the sandstone walls and old cobbles to the impressive clock tower, with high ceilings and generous windows. Newly refurbished, this beautiful holiday house is now perfect for a modern group stay for up to 12 guests, with the dog welcome too. For families and friends, there is space for everyone to relax and feel at home, with plenty of places to gather and catch up with one another. And for corporate and wedding groups, the separate bedrooms, generous shared spaces and excellent facilities provide a practical alternative to hotel rooms. The sleeping accommodation offers 6 individually designed bedrooms, 3 king bedrooms and 3 doubles, along with 3.5 bathrooms. The house has everything needed for a comfortable group stay, with a well equipped kitchen and spacious living and dining areas, including a large table where everyone can take time to sit down together over lazy breakfasts, long lunches and evening meals stretching well into the night. One of the highlights of a stay at Clocktower House has to be the private Spa and Entertainment Barn, just a few steps from the house. A brilliant space in its own right, the facilities here are completely yours for the duration of your stay - with a 6 person hot tub, sauna, games area and TV providing hours of entertainment for all. So while some of you are soaking in the hot tub or warming up in the sauna, others can be battling it out over darts or the arcade. It's a great amenity for when the weather disappoints too. The location of the Clocktower House makes it an excellent base for exploring Cumbria and the northern Lake District. Caldbeck and The Howk are around 15 to 20 minutes away, Cockermouth and Bassenthwaite around 20 minutes, and Keswick and Derwentwater around 25 to 30 minutes. The Solway Coast is also within easy reach, along with Whinlatter Forest, Buttermere and Honister.
