Coiltie Farmhouse is an 18th-century farmhouse in the Scottish Highlands that has been lovingly updated to become a cosy, charming and practical house for large groups. The three most popular features with groups are:
- the huge function room ideal with large dinners, gatherings and activities
- the cosy living room with guitars and a stove
- the spectacular location ideal for activities ranging from outdoor pursuits to Nessie-spotting, castle-hopping to whisky tasting (we have contacts and information to help with all of these!).
We are well equipped to host families with young children (and the location is very safe for giving children freedom to roam), but equally well situated to host adult groups including stag dos and hen dos looking for a rural retreat within walking distance of a pub or two and with plenty of options for varied activities. We also host a large number of hiking clubs, university sports clubs and school groups.
From April to September Coiltie Farmhouse functions as Loch Ness Backpackers, open to individuals and to groups (but no exclusive use). From October to March, the hostel closes and this holiday house near Loch Ness is available for exclusive use. The main house can be rented on its own, then you can add on the 18-bed Barn on a room by room basis up to a maximum of 41 people in total. This flexibility is ideal for those groups who don't know how many people they have but want room to grow if necessary.

Drumnadrochit, the village in which the property is situated, is a hugely popular tourist destination in the summer months, and a quieter, relaxed and friendly place to spend time in the winter months surrounded by spectacular scenery and lots of opportunities to explore - and very close to spectacular Loch Ness.
