Staying in our spacious but cosy safari tents, you'll be surrounded by fields and marshes, perfect for wildlife and outdoor fun. Close to the Norfolk Broads for walks, boating and adventures, this location offers a great group holiday with family or friends, and for all ages.

Start your holiday with a signed walk down to the River Waveney and the Norfolk Broads—a charming introduction to the countryside and farm life. For the energetic, the hay play-barn offers a haven for independent play, while outdoors, all ages can enjoy the large trampoline, slides and swings.

Nearby Wheatacre Farm Pantry is perfect for stocking up on locally made artisan food. Take advantage of the on-site oven to create your own delicious DIY pizza.

For any animal lovers, you're welcome to pop into the sheep field and say hello to the friendly residents, and in spring time might even get the chance to bottle-feed the lambs. There's also the chicken coop, perfect for collecting eggs for your morning breakfast. End your day under a canopy of stars in one of the UK’s designated Dark Sky places, then retire to your warm and cozy bed for a restful night.

Our canvas hideaways comfortably sleep up to 5 adults and 1 child under 12, with three bedrooms, equipped with premium, comfortable mattresses. You will find a spacious double bed, a cosy cupboard bed, and a handy bunk bed. From utensils and fully equipped kitchens to showers and flushing toilets, we provide all the amenities you will need to make your stay not just comfortable, but relaxing. And with purposefully no electricity in the canvas hideaway, you can escape from the daily distractions to focus on true quality time together.

Beccles offers a wealth of diversity, combining history with modern-day attractions. The town is surrounded by fantastic views of the river and delightful countryside. The historic town centre provides a blend of independent shops, restaurants and other services that will make a trip to Beccles memorable. The town is within easy reach of the coast, with its award-winning beaches, nature reserves and theme park.

If you’re willing to take a short drive, the Broads offer the perfect setting to hire a boat, canoe, or paddleboard and dive into a variety of water sports. Nearby coastal towns like Southwold cater to all interests, whether you’re looking for beach relaxation, shopping, crabbing, or wildlife spotting. A trip to Horsey Gap to see the seals is well worth the journey. For family-friendly attractions, Bewilderwood, Africa Alive, and Roarr Dinosaur Park are all within easy reach, making this farm the ideal base for a memorable holiday in the Norfolk Broads.

We purposefully don't have WiFi at our farms, to help you switch off from daily pressures and truly enjoy time together with loved ones in nature.

Each hideaway comes equipped with it's own wood burning stove, perfect for both heating and cooking up delicious meals.

Outdoor

Nestled in nature, there are open fields with space for games, sports and fun activities together. Or enjoy a walk through the countryside together.

Booking Information

Check in from 4pm, check out by 10am please. 3 night minimum at weekends, 4 nights midweek.

30% deposit to secure booking, with remaining balance due 10 weeks before arrival.

No damage deposit taken.

The following provisions apply to all cancellations:

a. In the event of a cancellation more than 6 weeks before the start of the stay, you will be entitled to change the date of your stay to an alternative in the same calendar year, or a 100% refund of the booking value that has been received in full. If the new date is more expensive than your original date, an additional payment will be required to cover the price difference. However, if the new date is priced lower, you will receive a refund of the price difference from Feather Down Farms.

b. In the event of cancellation between 6 to 3 weeks before the start of the stay, you will be entitled to change the date of your stay to an alternative in the same calendar year, or a 50% refund of the booking value that has been received in full. If the new date is more expensive than your original date, an additional payment will be required to cover the price difference. If the new date is advertised at a lower price, you are not entitled to a refund of the price difference.

c. In the event of cancellation between 3 weeks and 24 hours before the start of the stay, there is no option to transfer the booking to another date. You will receive a 25% voucher of the booking value (rounded to the nearest value) to use towards another booking within the same booking season.

d. In the event of cancellation within 24 hours before the start of the stay, the full booking amount is retained by Feather Down Farms and no refund is due.

At Feather Down there is no statutory cooling-off period of 14 days.
