Whether you're bringing three generations together for a family reunion, celebrating a milestone birthday, marking an anniversary or enjoying a long-overdue weekend with friends, The Comb offers exclusive use of a private Northumberland estate where everyone can relax, reconnect and create lasting memories.

Set within 60 acres in the heart of Northumberland National Park, surrounded by Kielder Forest and beneath some of Europe's darkest skies, The Comb provides the perfect setting to escape everyday life and enjoy time together in one of the country’s most beautiful landscapes.

The Lodge sleeps up to 20 guests in 10 spacious en-suite bedrooms, giving everyone their own space while keeping the whole group together. The adjacent Farmhouse can also be booked, increasing accommodation across the estate to up to 30 guests for larger family gatherings and celebrations.

Life at The Comb centres on being together. Share celebration meals in the atmospheric dining room, enjoy drinks in the private bar and lounge, gather around the log burner in the snug or relax on the terrace overlooking the grounds. The fully equipped country kitchen makes catering for larger groups easy, whether cooking together or using outside caterers.

Outside, explore woodland, burns and open countryside, walk or cycle directly from the door, visit nearby Kielder Water, Hadrian's Wall and Northumberland's castles, or simply gather amd watch the stunning sunsets. Clay pigeon shooting is also available by prior arrangement.

For celebrations on a larger scale, the Dark Skies Barn is available by separate arrangement. Seating up to 200 guests, it features a licensed rustic bar, stage, dance floor and catering facilities, making it an exceptional venue for larger family banquets, milestone birthdays, live music and private celebrations.

As evening falls, enjoy drinks on the Dark Skies Balcony and experience some of the finest stargazing in the UK.

The Comb isn't simply somewhere to stay—it's a place where families and friends come together to celebrate life's most important occasions.

## Facilities

- **WiFi:** The Comb has WiFi facilities. Owing to the location there is no mobile reception.
- **Accessibility:** Ground floor bedroom with wetroom available.
- **Dog Friendly:** The Comb allows cats and dogs provided the number is not excessive. They are not allowed in bedrooms and any mess is to cleared from the grounds.
- **Kitchen:** A beautiful fully equipped country kitchen. Includes a gas range and electric ovens, dishwashers, fridge freezer, pots, pans, crockery, cutlery.
- **Dining Room:** A lovely traditional room with exposed original beams and stone wall. Seating up to 30, it is ideal for cozy suppers or formal dinners.
- **Sitting Room:** The main lounge is very spacious, complete with bar, comfortable furniture, French doors to a terrace plus a wall mounted book shelf.
- **TV and Music Facilities:** The TV lounge has a large mounted TV with satellite connection. The lounge has comfortable sofas for film nights.
- **Heating and Open Fires:** The Comb is fully centrally heated with radiators in every room. There is also a log burner in the snug which is connected to the country kitchen.
- **Bedrooms:** 10 bedrooms, all en suite with country views: 2 singles, 4 twins, 4 king, mezzanine twin. 5 with balconies, 6 with French doors. F/H: 2 king, 1 twin.
- **Linen:** All bed linen is supplied and 100% cotton. Additionally bath and hand towels are also 100% cotton and supplied for all bathrooms at no extra cost.
- **Bathrooms:** Every bedroom has a spacious en suite bathroom. All have showers, 2 also have baths. One wetroom suitable for the disabled. F/H has bathroom and loo.
- **Children's Facilities:** The grounds, woods and burns offer an ideal safe space to explore. Ideal space for sports, petanque, games and bike rides.
- **Outdoor:** 60 acres of grounds including a clay pigeon shoot. Extensive lawns with views in every direction, a BBQ, courtyard, bar terrace, dark skies balcony.
- **Parking:** There are 2 car parks at the main building each suitable for 8-10 cars. There are also 2 further car parks in the grounds with larger capacity.
- **Smoking:** Smoking is permitted outside the building with a courtyard, terrace and dark skies balcony suitable. We ask that all tabs are placed in the bins.

- Please contact us by email for further information or to make a booking. Weekend changeover days are arrival 4pm onward on Friday and depart Sunday or Monday morning. We take a damage deposit based on the nature of group.
