Multi generational families and friends will love this collection of family holiday houses near Torquay in south Devon 15 minutes from the wonderful beaches and resorts of the English Riviera. Compton Pool is ideally set up for extended family get togethers to celebrate big birthdays or anniversaries, or just for fabulous holidays together. It's also a good choice for weddings (we can arrange a marquee) or corporate group stays. Facilities are fantastic, offering an indoor heated pool, gym, games room, tennis court and a kids' play area along with 14 acres to explore.
The Farmhouse is ideal for 2 families and, with the possibility of inside dining for 16, can provide a dining space for guests staying in multiple cottages. Bow has room for a cot so is perfect for young families or for grandparents who want their own space. Bidwell has 2 downstairs twins and Torr is single storey for guests who may not relish too many stairs. Kitchens are well equipped and laundry facilities available. Lounges are very comfortable with ample seating and Smart TVs.
Compton Pool has lots of extras to entice a family gathering. The indoor heated swimming pool is the focus for fun and the terrace overlooking gardens and tennis court a lovely place to socialise, with farm animals to visit and a play area for children. The games barn has something for everyone: pool, table football, table tennis, air hockey and an Xbox, and there's a full gym for fitness enthusiasts.
Bedrooms are a convenient mix of doubles and twins, with pretty furnishings and with some contemporary en suites.
Compton Pool is a good base from which to discover this popular area of south Devon, handy for family days out at the seaside. For walkers the South West Coastal Path is accessible, and. Torquay, Brixham and Paignton are all very different resorts worth a visit. Dartmoor is nearby, with hiking, cycling, geocaching, horse riding, canoeing and climbing, and also home to picture postcard villages with country pubs and cream teas, along with the indigenous ponies.
