Cortes House is wonderfully elegant and manages to combine traditional features with the best of today’s living. This venue is a good option for weddings and corporate breaks too. This beautiful Regency house is arranged around a classically Greek themed central atrium with decorative glass cupola, which allows the light to pour in, and an effortlessly beautiful staircase that winds through the 3 upper floors, ideal for a bridal party arrival or a drinks reception. Living rooms are on the ground floor, classically designed and comfortable with delicate cornicing, original fireplaces and enormous picture windows onto the gardens. The kitchen is very well set up to cater for 30 guests, with plenty of space for everyone to chat while dinner is prepared before moving into the formal dining room. 3 lounge areas add to the luxury; a beautiful Georgian drawing room and 2 smaller sitting rooms for a pre bedtime whisky next to the fire. The basement is home to a games room with ping pong and a home cinema, guaranteed to attract the youngsters. 2 triple bedrooms on the lower ground floor are a space away from the adults for peace, fun and privacy. Bedrooms are luxury spaces, some with 4 posters and all with stylish soft furnishings and design. Family rooms are available on the second floor. 9 bathrooms provide a combination of baths and showers, and 2 have indulgent Jacuzzi tubs. Outside are 5 acres of grounds and gardens to explore with lawns for the children to run around, for family games and as a great outdoor space for corporate team building. The secret garden is just waiting to be discovered. For wedding parties there are plenty of amazing corners for photos. Tear yourselves away from Cortes House and have a wander around Fraserburgh, a coastal town famous for its lighthouse museum. Slaines Castle, known as the inspiration for Dracula, is within easy reach and the Donald Trump Links golf course 30 minutes away. Cots and extra beds are not included.
