Centrally located in the province of Seville in the heart of Andalusia, close to lovely Spanish villages such as El Saucejo, Villanueva de San Juan, Pruna and Olvera. Larger cities such as Ronda, Marbella and Torremolinos are a stone's throw away. And how about El Caminito del Rey, a beautiful walking area a 50-minute drive away.
Situated on top of the mountain with an unobstructed view of the valley and the surrounding mountains, you enjoy a lot of privacy at Cortijo Rosario. The house has a 70 m2 swimming pool, comfortable sunbeds and plenty of sun and shade areas.
From a dilapidated old farm, the Cortijo has gradually developed into a beautiful holiday complex. The Cortijo (‘farm’ in Spanish) is surrounded by olive trees and undeveloped forest on the steeply sloping hill, and overlooks Algamitas, a village with around 1000 inhabitants and amenities including several supermarkets, bakers and a butcher.
On the ground floor there is a large dining room with enough seating for 18 people and patio doors to the terrace. There are plenty of tables and chairs on the front terrace and 2 covered patios if you wish to dine outside. If you cook yourself, there's access to our fully equipped, industrial kitchen. The comfortable sitting room has a roaring fire, ideal in winter. Our bar has TV Free, and unlimited WiFi is available throughout the cortijo. There's also a cloakroom on the ground floor with two toilets and a sink. Guests have access to laundry facilities.
There are 15 beds available, in 7 double rooms and a single bedroom. All rooms are on the first floor with views east over the valley or west towards the hills of Penon and Terril. Bedrooms are kept warm with oil central heating to make a winter stay that little bit more comfortable, and have fans for warm summer evenings, and each has a private bathroom. From autumn 2024 there will be 21 beds, 4 of which will be housed in two apartments.
The Cortijo is within an estate of 10 hectares where you can enjoy walks through our forest and olive grove. Mountain biking and running are also great here.
All linen and towels are provided, including pool towels. The Cortijo is cleaned for the beginning of each holiday.
