Craigston Castle sleeps 12 (available only between May and October) The North Lodge sleeps 2 when taken with the castle (or 5 as a standalone) - a short walk away Please note that the maximum group size when taking the Castle and Lodge together is 14. The castle is full of character, history and understated grandeur. Beautifully appointed bedrooms offer comfort and a little touch of luxury. 6 bedrooms are available for any group, so there's a choice to suit your group. There are several welcoming drawing and sitting rooms for gathering together and a relaxing evening in the beautiful drawing room with a dram of whisky from one of the local distilleries. And there's space to enjoy a few quieter moments away from the group too. The traditional kitchen is fully equipped for self catering, with plenty of room to prepare delicious meals. Outside catering also available, please ask. Two dining rooms: one seat 12 and one 14 with plenty space. For larger family gatherings or celebrations, the North Lodge is ideal for grandparents who might appreciate a little extra peace and privacy, or for any couple who appreciate their own space. Outside, the estate invites you to slow down and explore. Wander through the woodland looking for wildlife, pick up flowers and vegetable from the Walled Garden. It is dotted with fishing villages such as Penan (famous for the filming of “Local Hero”), Sandend and Crovie which have remained remarkably well preserved and which have resisted the advances of too much modern development.
