Holiday Rental for Groups of Families and Friends.
Crocadon Farmhouse, St Mellion, Saltash, Cornwall, sleeps 12 in 6 bedrooms.
Crocadon Farmhouse dates back to the 12th century. Rescued from dilapidation in 2000 the extensive farmhouse has been sensitively restored without losing its unique charm. Nestled in the heart of the picturesque Tamar Valley on the Devon and Cornwall border, Crocadon Farm remains part of Pentillie Estate. The location and composition of this lovely house offer a great base for family gatherings as well as holidays.
The property has 6 bedrooms on the first floor with a range of bath and shower rooms. The 7th bedroom and shower room is located on the ground floor and can double up as a snug room if not required as a bedroom. All bedrooms are made up with Egyptian cotton linen, and are light and airy with windows overlooking the gardens and surrounding countryside. With stairs at each end of the house, there is plenty of opportunity to slip away unnoticed for an afternoon siesta!
On the ground floor the slate floor kitchen with Aga cooker and dishwasher is spacious and well equipped, a large oak table turns breakfast into a feast, whilst the even larger oak table in the Medieval dining hall turns supper into a banquet, both fantastic for convivial mealtimes with family and friends.
The drawing room and billiard room are located at the front of the house with large windows overlooking the front lawns, beautiful rooms to relax and escape from the hubbub of the kitchen. Television, games, books, WiFi are all available within the house.
Outside there is ample space for parking, large lawns for family games plus an enclosed courtyard and cottage garden area for little ones and table tennis. There is a dedicated barbecue area with large BBQ and picnic table.
The gardens drop away to farmland with views over the Tamar Valley and Dartmoor.
