Guests absolutely love it! Stylish, contemporary, fantastically well-equipped with very comfy beds in 5 en suite bedrooms, it has an all-year round appeal. With its huge picture windows, sofas to sink into, panoramic views, Sonos sound system, mood lighting, amazing sense of space inside and out. Craigengar has the added bonus of location and accessibility. Its immediate location is up a good farm track off the A70 Edinburgh to Lanark road. Right beside fields of grazing sheep, guests need not worry about disturbing neighbours, only woolly ones! Yet this wonderfully rural feel belies the fact that this eco-Lodge, with its Gold Award from the Green Tourism Business Scheme, is only 35 minutes from the heart of Edinburgh and 30 minutes from Edinburgh airport. Craigengar has 14 sleeping spaces in 5 bedrooms. There are also 2 double sofa beds in the spacious Gallery area and these guests have access to a sixth bathroom downstairs. “G”, the owner, who welcome new arrivals to this rural hide-away, lives a mile away on Crosswoodhill farm.
