Currantberry Barns offer a stylish venue for get togethers and country weekends away with friends, just 15 minutes from the historic city of York with its many attractions.
Currantberry Barns comprises 3 glamping pods and a cabin, allowing each family group their own private sleeping accommodation, and a large shared social space in an adjoining barn. The large open Main Barn houses the kitchen, dining room able to seat 16 + and a comfy living space with sofas and TV, able to seat the whole group. There's even a cosy bar area too. Large glazed doors open onto a balcony - the perfect spot for enjoying a drink while watching the sun set.
Also in the Main Barn is a spa room where your group can relax and enjoy a range of treatments provided by our in-house therapist, along with a changing room. And there's a children's games room too.
Also available to hire is a self contained 5 bedroomed cottage adjacent to the site. This house is available to families only in July / Aug, Easter & School Holidays.
A whole host of other entertainment options are also available. Why not get involved in a yoga or pilates class, arranged for your group in-house. Or try a dance class with the session specially choreographed to suit your group. Outside activities can also be arranged, including old fashioned sports day events, assault courses and inflatable games - lots of fun for the whole family.
Another option is to get crafty, with sewing or pottery classes available with an end product for you to take away as a memento. Or try your hand at creating delicious patisserie or chocolates in a masterclass with our chef - and then relax and enjoy a special afternoon tea, followed by a session learning to make cocktails before a sumptuous dinner created for you.
