Dawn Chorus Glamping near Beccles in Suffolk is a lovely little slice of magic for friends and multi generation families looking to get away together. Set on a Suffolk working farm, this is a really special place to enjoy being in the countryside, staying in luxury heated shepherds huts or safari tents. There's lots of space for the children to run around and explore what is a spacious site, well set up to give peace and privacy but with plenty of possibilities for socialising.
The glamping units are great for self catering, everything you need in a compact kitchen. If you like the idea of being spoilt, you might order a cooked breakfast or stew on arrival to be delivered to your accommodation. Private outside seating areas have barbecues and fire pits for sociable evenings toasting marshmallows and doing a spot of stargazing. If the weather does take a turn, snuggle up in the warm huts or tents and play a board game, listen to the pit pat of rain on the roof and open a bottle of wine. If everyone in the group wants to meet up, there is masses of space to gather and sit around fire pits although the new safari tents do have inside dining for 8. If you want a treat why not book one of our cooked breakfasts, brought to your door.
Part of the fun of glamping is going to bed. The Shepherds huts have doubles or kings with bunks and the safari tents are more spacious with a double, twin and double cabin bed. They all have comfortable mattresses and attractive soft furnishings. Shepherds huts are en suite and there is a bathroom in each of the tents.
There are opportunities for hikes from the door and a jaunt on the Black Dog Ferry to Geldeston Locks or Wherry pub which is within walking distance. Visit Beccles and the fantastic Lido in summer months. Southwold is a definite must visit for a beach day.
