Located in the village of Parkend, in the beautiful Forest of Dean, The Deanfield Outdoor Centre sleeps up to 93. A great place for a family celebration or group outdoor activities holiday. Available for weekends and school holidays.
Accommodation is on 4 different floor areas with washrooms for each area. There are 22 bunkrooms with an average of 4 sleeping places each, ranging from twins to a 10 bunk room. An additional ground floor room can be converted by arrangement for disabled accommodation and features an en suite bathroom and hoist.
There is free WiFi throughout the building.
A large lounge on the first floor has a kitchenette for making drinks and also has a data projector. A separate Games Room features toll-free arcade style table football and air hockey machines, plus table tennis.
A self-catering kitchen is fully equipped to cater for groups of 60 and is included in the price along with the dining room that can seat up to 72. For larger groups an additional 15 diners can eat in a separate room to avoid split dining times. We can also offer a catered or partly catered service. If you have professional caterers it may be possible to hire the professional kitchen.
The separate gardens and associated Dean Garden Room can also be hired and provides seating for 60 cabaret style and 90 theatre style - this has been used for wedding receptions and celebrations many times. It has its own kitchen. A barbecue and campfire area can be used with outside seating and lighting.
There are 2 good pubs in the village which are close by and offer good food and traditional ales.
There are lots of nearby outdoor activities and tourist attractions. The village has a cycle hire shop and we are very close to the family cycle trail and other mountain biking trails. A steam train (The Dean Heritage Railway) stops at the station a few metres away.
We can offer instructor led activities on-site - we have our own High Challenge Course with climbing tower and zip wire; archery; bushcraft; underground tunnel system and team building activities.
Our venue is a perfect base for a break.
