Surrounded by mountains, rivers and the wild beauty of Connemara, this historic country house combines comfort, good food and genuine hospitality in one of Ireland’s most scenic settings. Built in the 1830s as a sporting retreat for the Marquis of Sligo, the luxury Lodge today welcomes guests on an exclusive use basis with a house party atmosphere. Evenings begin with drinks by the fire before guests gather for a memorable dinner (canapes reception, starter, middle, main course, dessert, tea/coffee and petit fours) prepared with local seafood, salmon, lamb, game and seasonal produce. An honesty bar is available. The Lodge is only available on a dinner, bed and breakfast option. The Lodge has 13 spacious en suite bedrooms including family rooms, ideal for gatherings of all sizes, with a maximum capacity of 33. Guests can relax in comfortable reception rooms or enjoy a game of snooker. Families and groups looking for privacy, or requiring additional accommodation, can choose from 6 beautifully restored self catering cottages, all within walking distance of the Lodge. Fishing guides are paid directly by the customer and not included in the price. - - Shooting packages: 50% deposit on booking, balance due 2 months in advance of arrival. Fully non-refundable – we suggest you take out travel insurance. - - Christmas bookings: 50% deposit on booking, refundable up to 60 days prior to arrival. Minimum number of room bookings required to open the Lodge over the Christmas period – failure to secure this by 60 days prior to Christmas will result in the Lodge being closed, and all bookings refunded. - - Delphi Lodge hired on a dinner, bed and breakfast arrangement.
