## About The Property

Welcome to our secluded woodland bunkhouse, based on the edge of Dartmoor in a wonderful woodland setting, lovingly converted two years ago without loss of its original character. Really loved by families with plenty to do for all ages, lots of exploring and a small stream cascading past the door, just a wonderful place to stand and stare!

Dewerstone Cottage offers great value for youth groups, scout/guide groups, climbing clubs, walking clubs as well as family and friend groups.

After an active day enjoy the log fire and comfortable lounge to relax and dine.. there is a well equipped kitchen for cooking those gourmet meals, and attractive wooden bunks in five bedrooms, making this a great place to relax and enjoy this secluded woodland experience..or sit outside and absorb the nature at its best.

Also only 100 metres away is the beautiful river Meavy with a campfire/barbecue area and large grass area for evening fun by the fire, great for children of all ages! It may be possible for additional guests in a larger group to camp on the site - talk to us about your requirements.

The Dewerstone Cottage is in a perfect location from which to explore the miles of National Trust woodland right from the front door, and the coast to coast cycle track only 10 minutes ride away. For climbing clubs, it is only 10 minutes to the famous Dewerstone rocks, with routes for all abilities.

Guided climbing, canoeing and walking can be arranged on booking, ideal for families looking for that extra holiday activity.

## Facilities

- **WiFi:** Mobile reception outside the building for the major networks. No WiFi - enjoy the peace!
- **Accessibility:** Level access. Two downstairs bunk-rooms. Wet room with shower, hand-basin, toilet, emergency pull cord. Wheelchair accessible, 1 small step to lounge.
- **Dog Friendly:** Well behaved dogs by prior arrangement only.
- **Kitchen:** Six burner range, ample hot water, microwave, fridge, freezer, toaster. Crockery for 34 people.
- **Dining Room:** Wooden tables and benches, plenty of space to feed hungry walkers.
- **Sitting Room:** Sofas around a lovely log burning stove.
- **TV and Music Facilities:** There are no TV or music facilities.
- **Games Room:** There is no games room.
- **Heating and Open Fires:** Panel heaters in all the bedrooms. Log burning stove in the lounge - wood provided.
- **Bedrooms:** Upstairs are three 10 berth bunk-rooms. Downstairs there are two 2 berth rooms.
- **Linen:** Bottom sheet, pillows provided - all you need bring is duvet or sleeping bag and pillow case.
- **Bathrooms:** Wet room with shower, hand-basin, toilet, emergency pull cord. 2 female toilets , 1 shower room/hand-basin, 1 male toilet/urinals 2 hand-basins.
- **Children's Facilities:** There are no specific facilities for children.
- **Outdoor:** Open access to miles of woodland and riverside walking. Riverside barbecue/campfire area near bunkhouse. Fantastic rock climbing 10 mins walk.
- **Swimming Pool:** There is no swimming pool.
- **Parking:** Ample parking.
- **Smoking:** Outside only please, bins provided.
