It is hard to imagine anywhere more perfect to stay in Cornwall than this Port Isaac holiday gem. Nestled in the village's winding streets and within walking distance of the harbour and Michelin starred restaurants, Dolphin House is a great destination at any time of year for friends and families wanting to holiday by the sea. Its prime position on the South West Coastal Path offers great options for walkers, golfers or anyone with an interest in birdwatching or fishing. A short walk over the hill to the sheltered cove of Port Gaverne offers up a multitude of water sports for all the family.

This lovely Cornish holiday house is well set up for group catering within a well equipped kitchen. The dining room has garden access for al fresco meals; cook up some freshly caught fish from a local fish cellars on the barbecue and enjoy an evening breathing in salty sea air. On sunny days, the terrace is an ideal spot to soak up some rays and maybe enjoy a proper Cornish cream tea. The lounge is a lovely sociable room with lots of comfy sofas to snuggle up on and enjoy a book or watch TV in front of the wood burning stove after a busy day exploring.

The 5 bedrooms across the 1st and 2nd floors are a mix of kings and twins to accommodate everyone in your group. Accommodation is light and airy with comfortable soft furnishings, windows overlook the gardens and roof tops of the quaint village. There are 2 bathrooms on the 2nd floor and a family bathroom with bath and shower on the first floor as well as a ground floor WC.

Guests will enjoy exploring this fascinating village, made especially famous by Doc Martin and the Fisherman’s Friends sea shanty singers. There is no shortage of high quality pubs and eateries to sample as well as independent shops and galleries. Sit with a cup of coffee watching the boats come and go, or pop in for a pint at The Golden Lion overlooking the bay. Polzeath is only 15 minutes from the house and a great beach for sand, surf and fun. For foodies, try one of Nathan Outlaw's restaurants in the village, or take a trip to the pretty port of Padstow and Rick Stein's Seafood Restaurant or Paul Ainsworth at No 6 - but remember to book first.

Centrally heated and wood stove in lounge.
Twin and 2 kings on 1st floor. 2 twins on 2nd floor.
Good quality bedding and bathroom towels are included.
Ground floor WC. 1st floor: bathroom with large corner shower, bath, basin & WC. 2nd floor: bathroom + WC and basin, shower room + WC and basin.
The property could be challenging for anyone with mobility difficulties, as there are narrow stairs up to the bedrooms. Enquire to discuss with owner.
A cot + 2 travel cots and 1 high chair are are available to use - please bring your own bedding. 2 stair gates + a fireguard are stored in the shed.
Garden furniture, washing line, water tap, BBQ. In shed: camping chairs for beach, buckets/spades, nets, boogie boards, old set of golf clubs! Enjoy!
There is no pool.
Parking for 1 car in car port with access to the house via stone steps into rear garden. Additional parking at 2 local car parks, pay cash or app.
No smoking inside please.
Maximum 2 dogs welcome by prior arrangement. Fees apply. We respectfully ask that pets do not go upstairs or on furniture.

Location

Located in the heart of Port Isaac near the sea and harbour. Padstow is 40 minutes and Tintagel 25. Dartmoor can be reached in just over an hour. Great restaurants and bars.
Wadebridge is 20 minutes.
Port Isaac has Co-op Food and Wadebridge has a Tesco Superstore.
Port Isaac offers Chef Nathan Outlaw Fish Kitchen and 2 Michelin starred Restaurant Nathan Outlaw. There is a range of pubs and cafes also serving good food. Many more in Padstow.

Booking Information

Pets welcome by prior arrangement when booking. No refund if cancelled less than 4 weeks before arrival. Saturday changeover unless otherwise agreed. Check in by 3pm and check out by 10am. A refundable damage deposit is requested.
