This magical chateau with on site holidays cottages in the Loire Valley is a wonderful destination for 3 generation families, friends. special occasions or a romantic wedding. Chateau Vary couldn't be more perfect, located in 15 hectares of gorgeous grounds and gardens to explore, with terraces, 2 swimming pools and a Jacuzzi for added luxury. There's a kitchen for preparing breakfast and lunch (if preferred), and barbecues for al fresco dining too. The gites are self catering cottages, although guests are welcome to join the party in the chateau for breakfast and dinner.
The 9 luxurious bedrooms in the chateau are comfortable and stylish, spacious rooms with a mix of kings, queens and twins available. Each is individually designed with exquisite soft furnishings, period furniture, an en suite and beautiful views. The elegant lounge with high ceilings and beautiful drapes is lovely space to relax in, or enjoy a game of billiards. Breakfast at Chateau Vary can be taken on the terrace on a warm Pays de la Loire morning.
The 3 cottages are located in the surrounding parkland and forest with lots of outdoor space and gardens for the children to enjoy as well as access to the 2 swimming pools. Living accommodation is very comfortable with full kitchens, dining tables and sitting rooms with TVs. A combination of super king and twin bedrooms as well as a ground floor single make these popular with a mixed age range. There are a total of 9 rooms in the cottages and 6 bathrooms.
Chateau Vary is a great base for exploring Pays de la Loire. A visit to the local vineyard is 10 minutes by bicycle. The chateau of Montgeofrey is a 10 minute drive. Local towns for a visit include Angers, Saumur and Tours. The major chateaux for visiting are Brissac, Azay Le Rideau, Villandry, Chinon. Historic attractions include Le Village Troglodyte and Le Musée Mystère des Faluns. For younger ones there is Terra Bottanica nearby and the renowned Puy de Fou theme park is an hour away. A visit to Paris is less than 2 hours by connecting from Le Mans on the TGV.
