The town has several places of historic interest, a good range of bars and restaurants, and is host to a number of festivals and events throughout the year. The nearest beach is Holmes beach 2.5km away and there are many more to explore, offering safe waters and white sands. Donegal Bay is home to seals, dolphins and whales, a highlight for wildlife enthusiasts. The surrounding countryside is full of drama too. The cottages are less than 500m from the McManus Estate which offers a beautiful woodland walk with a coffee dock.
