Holiday Rental for Groups of Families and Friends. Dove Farm Cottages, Ashbourne, Derbyshire, Peak District, sleeps 2 - 16 in 7 bedrooms.

Ideal venue for extended family gatherings, celebrations or simply getting together with friends. Hen groups are very welcome, as are small retreats and workshops. Pet friendly too.

Sleeps 16 + 2 across 3 next door cottages:
Barn Owl cottage: sleeps 7 (+1 child)
Wren cottage: sleeps 5 + sofa-bed
Swallow cottage: sleeps 4

Simply styled, well equipped cottages, with a comfortable, home from home feeling. All cottages open out onto a shared and secluded patio garden, with wooden garden seating, BBQ and small firepit. The studio dining room provides the perfect space to socialise, whilst individual cottages ensure everyone can enjoy their own quiet time too.

There is good access for those guests with mobility restrictions, throughout the cottages, studio and garden area. Only 1 cottage has stairs. There is a wet-room and wheelchair accessible shower/WC in Barn Owl cottage.

Dove Farm offers an informal and relaxing setting for meetings, training events, retreats and workshops. Modular tables can be arranged to suit, or removed for circle or group work. Comfortable dining space for 18. Ideal for dinner parties, buffets and brunches. External catering can be arranged.

Enjoy our farm and riverside trail across open fields and wooded riverbank. On the farm, there are all kinds of farm pets and animals to see, from sheep, goats and chickens, to donkeys, ducks and alpacas. Some working areas out of bounds for the safety of guests.

Just 5 miles from Ashbourne, gateway to the Peak District, and only 4 miles from Alton Towers, we are within easy reach of all major visitor attractions across Derbyshire and Staffordshire.

Accessibility

Good. Level floors and wide doorways throughout. 5 ground floor bedrooms. Wet room shower in Barn Owl cottage. Dove Studio also wheelchair accessible.

Dog Friendly

Dogs are welcome by arrangement. Please see terms and conditions on our website. Generally £20 per doggie guest.

Kitchen

3 well equipped, modern kitchens plus additional kitchenette which is attached to studio room.

Dining Room

Dove dining studio seats up to 18 around one large table. Table is modular and may be arranged to suit.

Sitting Room

There are 3 sitting rooms, each with comfortable seating for approx 8. Just bring in extra chairs to gather your group together.

TV and Music Facilities

Flat screen TVs, video and DVD. Hifi and CD units. Bluetooth speaker. Freeview in 1 cottage. Sky Q package in 2 cottages.

Games Room

No games room, although the studio room may be used for certain activities.

Heating and Open Fires

Gas central heating on timers, plus living flame gas fires and supplementary electric radiators.

Bedrooms

7 bedrooms comprising: 1 family room en suite (k/s bed + single), 2 doubles (k/s beds), 2 twin rooms, 2 triple rooms. Plus sofa bed in Wren cottage.

Linen

Bed linen included. 1 standard and 1 small towel per person. Bed linen for sofa bed charged as extra.

Bathrooms

3 ground floor bathrooms, 1 with bath. 2 with shower only (one is accessible wetroom). 1 en suite in family room. 3 additional toilets.

Children's Facilities

Good. Enclosed garden. Cot and high chair. Toys and books provided on request. Farm pets to see and feed. Grassed ball games area next to cottages.

Outdoor

Shared patio garden with BBQ. Farm and riverside trail. Farm animals to see and feed. Walks from farm gate.

Swimming Pool

In summer there are opportunities to go wild swimming in the river Dove, with shallow places to paddle in the brook.

Parking

Ample parking for 8 cars in car park next to the cottages. additional parking can be made available if required.

Smoking

No smoking indoors or around the farm. Outdoor smoking area in the cottages garden.

Exclusive use Group bookings include dove dining studio/communal space.
Standard changeover days Friday and Monday.
Reserve dates/provisional booking via phone/text/email/facebook/insta.
housekeeping deposit between £100 and £200 per group booking.
Dogs welcome by arrangement.
