Dovedale House is an all-age centre, offering a wide range of facilities suitable for school and youth groups, parish family groups, outdoor enthusiasts or large family gatherings and celebrations.
The house offers individually tailored dormitory style accommodation with flexibility for groups of up to 50 with 12 bedrooms of varying sizes, from 2 to 10. There is an en suite room with disabled access on the ground floor, and a leaders bedroom with private bathroom.
The house offers a large meeting room, a leader lounge, large flexible dining area, Chapel, games room and private grounds.

Dovedale House is located in the village of Ilam, just to the left of the main gate of Ilam Hall, in the centre of the village. The nearest Railway Station is Ashbourne.

Outdoor pursuits such as walking, cycling, horse riding, climbing, water sports and caving are widely available. There are plenty of historic houses and castles to visit, as well as museums and galleries, including Chatsworth House, Bolsover Castle, Sudbury Hall and Museum of Childhood.
Ilam Village has been a place of healing and pilgrimage for over a thousand years and is the burial place of the Saxon Prince and Patron Saint of Stafford, Bertram (or Bertoline). Cross the famous Stepping Stones across the River Dove. Walk up Thorpe Cloud, to see beautiful views of the Dove Valley. Visit the Ilam Story, an 18m piece of folk art depicting the local architecture, on display in Ilam Church.
