Holiday Rental for Groups of Families and Friends.
The Dukes House, Ashford-in-the-Water, Peak District, sleeps 10 in 4 bedrooms.
The Dukes House is a most distinctive house dating back to 1916, the residence of choice for the local, artisan architect, Cox Wilson, so attentive to detail that through renovation we found that each floorboard was signed and numbered by the very same. If you are thinking tall ceilings, original features, log burning fires and sumptuous interiors, then The Dukes House is for you, a house with lots of character through an eclectic mix of "Arts & Crafts" to boutique townhouse.
With plenty of character and spacious, luxurious interiors, this is a wonderful venue for get-togethers with family and friends, and for celebrating all types of special occasions. Or simply for just catching up and enjoying a relaxed weekend together.
Located overlooking both the River Wye and the village of Ashford-in-the-Water in a most enviable position, The Dukes House is close to everything you need without the use of a car: no fewer than two country inns, a country house hotel with fine dining, a tea room and a shop with deli, all of which are within only a 3-minute stroll.
One of a handful of properties that can genuinely claim, once arrived, to not require the car for the duration of your stay as everything you need is literally on your doorstep. Anywhere and everywhere you would ever possibly wish to visit in the beautiful Peak District is around only 5-minute peaceful drive; Bakewell, Monsal Head, Haddon Hall, The Chatsworth Estate, Hassop Hall, Lathkill Dale and so much more.
Please note that there is a 3-night minimum charge, this is standard practice at ALL similar sized luxury properties in the Peak District. This then allows for a late check-out on the third evening (up to 21:00 hours) so you can enjoy the full day without the pressure of an early check-out.
Check-in Friday 15:00, check out Monday 10:00 (Weekend break).
Check-in subject to availability/flexibility (Weekly break).
Minimum 3-night stay, Christmas/New year and summer holidays may be subject to a minimum weekly stay.
