Arriving at Duredon feels very special, with the approach crossing Exmoor and providing spectacular country views. The drawing room has a welcoming open fire, high ceilings and opulent jewel toned velvet sofas - perfect at any time of day for sitting back and enjoying Exmoor through large period style sash windows. The formal dining table is made for catching up over long family dinners, cooked in the kitchen or created by outside caterers for a birthday feast. No corner is wasted at Duredon, with welcoming wing back chairs in Georgian style arched corridors between rooms, for a quiet chat or to read a book. Pretty gardens surround Duredon and there is an outside seating area ideal for barbecues and al fresco dining next to a large lawn for the kids to enjoy.
All of the 9 bedrooms are individually designed, some with romantic 4 posters and all with elegant soft furnishings and occasional furniture. The 3 bedrooms in the converted stable block offer options for any guests wanting extra privacy - ideal for young families or grandparents in a multi generational group. There are many footpaths to follow from the door at Duredon and around the wider estate, with some of the best hiking, cycling, shooting and wild swimming in the south west.
