Edgar Farmhouse is a wonderful property which oozes charm and period features whilst catering for everything you could possibly want from a quiet holiday away in North Norfolk. There is a warm feeling about the house and each room has been carefully designed to provide comfortable furnishings: ensuring that you can completely relax into your well deserved break very quickly. The house has a lovely dining room to seat the full compliment of 20 in the house and it also provides this outside by the barbecue area. Many guests celebrate a birthday or anniversary whilst at the house and so often take the opportunity to have catering in one evening during their stay and the dining room lends itself perfectly to this. Another spacious room is the lounge: this has lovely comfy sofas, a wall mounted television, a DVD, and a wonderful wood burner for the colder wintry evenings. Each bedroom is furnished with good quality white cotton bed linen and duck feather duvets, and hand towels are provided in the bathrooms. All of the bedrooms are well proportioned and five come with en suites also. Outside, there is a lovely garden with countryside views and the courtyard provides a fairly secure area for dogs should guests wish to bring their furry friends (with prior agreement). Within the walled garden is the heated swimming pool complete with telescopic enclosure. Most of the time this is over the pool for all year round swimming - on the hotter days, this can be pulled back for outdoor swimming. There is also a shepherd hut changing room, outdoor tennis and BBQ area with seating for 20 also. Behind the wall, is the lovely all weather tennis court which has seen many a tournament. Ideally located for a holiday, this house is close to historical Walsingham with its religious shrines in honour of the Virgin Mary, the ruins of two medieval monastic houses, cafes and public houses, a steam railway to Wells-next-the-Sea, and the wonderful Walsingham Farm Shop. Beautiful Holkham Beach and the house are also most worthy of a visit plus many more local attractions. ## Facilities - **Dog Friendly:** With prior agreement, dogs are allowed at the house. There is a £30 per dog surcharge and £200 is added to the security deposit. House rules apply. - **Accessibility:** No specific facilities but there are 2 downstairs bedrooms (one is en suite). - **WiFi:** WiFi is available in the house - enough generally but not fantastic for streaming. Mobile reception varies with different providers. - **Kitchen:** This is well equipped with everything you could want during your stay. Lots of crockery, cutlery, pots and pans and AGA. Good freezer/fridge space. - **Dining Room:** Ideally located just off the kitchen with seating for up to 20 people. Great to celebrate an occasion or simply eat breakfast together. - **Sitting Room:** The sitting room is well proportioned for guests with comfortable sofas and cushions, and a lovely wood burner for the colder winter evenings. - **TV and Music Facilities:** There is a television in the lounge (and DVD) and also one in the kitchen. There is also a docking station. - **Games Room:** There is no games room but there is outdoor table tennis by the pool. - **Heating and Open Fires:** The house is centrally heated plus there is a wood burner in the lounge. Guests to bring their own logs if they wish to use this. - **Bedrooms:** Ground floor: 1 triple and 1 double (en suite). First storey: 1 triple (en suite), 1 family room and 4 doubles (3 en suite). - **Linen:** All bed linen is provided - high quality Egyptian cotton. All duvets are feather down for all seasons. Please bring all towels for shower and pool. - **Bathrooms:** Downstairs: 1 en suite (double) and 1 wc. Upstairs: 1 family bathroom (shower and bath), 4 en suites (3 to double rooms and 1 to triple room). - **Children's Facilities:** There is a cot in the house and also a travel cot. There are two high chairs also for the dining room. - **Outdoor:** There is a dual fuel barbecue (gas and charcoal) plus plenty of seating in the garden and the pool area also. - **Swimming Pool:** The heated swimming pool is within the walled garden area of the house within a telescopic enclosure.
