## About The Property

Once the main farm for the Earls of Portsmouth’s Eggesford estate, Eggesford Barton has been converted and renovated to Grade 4 standard within the constraints of a Grade 2 listing. The house is over 300 years old surrounding a large garden courtyard and is full of charm and character with pretty Georgian arched windows, exposed oak beams, original fireplaces and quirky sloping floors.

Sleeping 30, this lovely holiday house is dog friendly and perfect for multi generational family groups - come and stay for a holiday or a weekend to catch up or to celebrate a special occasion together.

The rooms are tastefully furnished in a manner sympathetic to the style of the property and the house readily accommodates up to 30 guests, with plenty of space to spread out.

Many of our guests stay with their extended families or friends for a long weekend or a week to celebrate a special occasion or escape for a short break. There is space for all to dine together in the main dining room, and we can recommend outside caterers should you wish.

Our large marquee area is perfect for guests who wish to celebrate a big occasion and provides a large outdoor area for ball games.

For our guests with children, there is an indoor games room with table tennis and a pool table.

We welcome dogs, and the nearby walks in the surrounding area and Eggesford Forest are quite beautiful. For keen fishermen the River Taw is nearby and guests are welcome to try their luck free of charge.

North Devon beaches, Dartmoor and Exmoor are within 45 minute drive. A picturesque journey on the Tarka train from Eggesford station takes 40 minutes to the cathedral city of Exeter.

## Booking Information

- Max 30 guests, including children aged 2+ years, contact us for special requirements. Weekend bookings are from Friday or Monday, with some flexibility. Arrival from 3pm, departure by 10am. Booking deposit £500 with the balance of the rental due four weeks prior to arrival. Damages deposit of £500.
