Ellie's Lodge is a former hotel which has been completely renovated to provide stylish and modern accommodation throughout. The house is ideal for large family get togethers, celebrations with friends, special occasions and even weddings. We are happy to accept responsible hen and stag groups too.

The ground floor of the building boasts the sitting room, bar and games area, an indoor sauna and the huge kitchen and lounge area with a wood-burning stove. The modern kitchen has everything you need to cater for a large group. For that special occasion or easy dining, why not arrange for external caterers to come in and provide everything for you!

Each of the 12 bedrooms has been tastefully decorated with individual colour palettes. All have en suite facilities, and a couple are on the ground floor and suitable for those with mobility difficulties.

The enclosed garden to the rear benefits from the 8-seat hot-tub, patio furniture and well-kept lawns. It's an ideal space for a barbecue!

Ellie's Lodge is located in the market town of Ulverston, 25 minutes from Jct 36 of the M6, so it is easily accessible. There is a train station in Ulverston which links to the West-Coast mainline at Lancaster. If you are wanting to explore, then it's just a very short drive to Windermere, Coniston and Barrow, all of which provide superb attractions and days out.

There is a disabled-friendly bedroom on the ground floor with an en suite bathroom.

Complimentary WiFi is provided throughout the house. There is no landline telephone, however 4g mobile signal is available on all major networks.

Kitchen

2 induction hobs, 2 ovens, 2 dishwashers, 2 double-door fridge/freezers. Plenty of crockery and cutlery provided.

Dining Room

Long banquet-style table seating 26 guests, sits next to the open plan living room and kitchen.

Sitting Room

2 sitting rooms: 1 separate room with an electric fireplace and the second is open plan with the kitchen and has a large wood-burning stove.

TV and Music Facilities

Large 55" LCD TV in the sitting room and another in the bar area. A built-in sound system is available in the bar area.

Games Room

The bar area has a full-size pool table and, in a separate room, there's a full-size tennis table. Both are free to use.

Heating and Open Fires

Central heating is provided throughout the house with an additional wood-burning stove in the lounge and an electric fire in the sitting room.

Bedrooms

12 bedrooms, all en suite. A wheelchair-friendly bedroom is on the ground floor with en suite bathroom. Mostly superkings, some ziplink and twin.

Linen

All linen and towels are provided in the bedrooms. Towels are not provided for the hot tub, so guests are invited to bring additional towels for this.

Bathrooms

12 en suite bathrooms, mostly showers. Additional ladies and gents toilets on the ground floor.

Children's Facilities

Enclosed garden with hot tub, table tennis table. High chair.

Outdoor

Hot tub, barbecue area (coal), patio furniture. Enclosed garden with large lawns.

There is no pool.

There is plenty of parking to the front of the property for up to 14 cars.

Booking Information

Min 2 nights. Rates are for information only, the precise rate will be confirmed in the quote. 30% of the booking total is required as a deposit when booking. The balance is payable 60 days prior to arrival. A refundable damage deposit of £600 is required 7-days prior to arrival.

Situated on the outskirts of the market town of Ulverston, famous for Laurel & Hardy. The property is easily accessible from the M6 Motorway or by train into Ulverston station.

Ulverston, the X5 links Kendal to Barrow, via Ulverston.
Ulverston Train Station, 1 mile.
Ulverston is the nearest town. Windermere is approx 20 miles away and Conston approx 15 miles.
Tesco Express, approx 0.8 miles. A new Aldi supermarket is being built which will be less than half a mile away.
Ulverston has a number of pubs and restaurants, all of which are within walking distance.
