This newly renovated country holiday house near Ravenstonedale is a great choice for multi-generational families and friends gathering for a celebration or a wedding. Situated in the Yorkshire Dales adjacent to the Lake District, it is hard to imagine a better backdrop for a holiday or weekend away. And there's good road access, a consideration for bringing together those travelling from different parts of the UK.

On arrival, it is hard to not be impressed by the sweeping driveway, glorious mature gardens and handsome exterior of Elm Lodge. Inside, the story continues with fantastic design that has retained many original features but created luxurious yet comfortable living accommodation. In short, the perfect combination of traditional and contemporary.

There are so many highlights at Elm Lodge. The morning room is a light space with huge picture windows and the most exquisite blue velvet sofas, a lovely spot to enjoy afternoon tea next to the log burning stove. Alternatively why not relax in the wood panelled drawing room, sitting areas in the kitchen or the conservatory provide lots of choice for mixed age groups. The stunning billiards room is a great place for family friendly, or even serious, competition between friends. 2 hot tubs provide all important relaxation in the pretty courtyard.

Elm Lodge is the ideal option for weddings. There is enough room to host an intimate wedding for 30 inside although with the space available outside, up to 100.

Bedrooms at Elm Lodge are perfect for unwinding at the end of a busy day. All rooms are spacious, individually styled many with high ceilings, big windows and opulent soft furnishings. 6 have en suite facilities with high quality fittings. The roll top bath in the family bathroom has to be a favourite, as does the other freestanding bath with garden views. Not to forget the Victorian floral loo.

The area is a paradise for cyclists and walkers with loads of trails close to Kirkby Stephen. Ravenstonedale is lucky to have 2 pubs, just a stroll from Elm Lodge. Kirkby Stephen is a quaint little town with cute cobbled streets and interesting shops. Ask about fishing, horse riding and golf courses nearby.
