This pretty converted long barn is a great place to gather friends, family or colleagues for some much needed quality time. It is perfectly set up for celebrations, holidays or weekend breaks, warm on even the chilliest day.

Emily Barn is located in the pretty village of Carsington and popular Carsington Water is just 10 minutes away. An 8 mile walk or cycle around the reservoir might be on the cards or perhaps some water sports such as paddle boarding, canoeing and kayaking. Matlock, once famed for its spa and hydro treatments, is a short drive away with independent shops and cafes clustered around Crown Square. Perhaps take a trip on the Matlock to Rowsley railway line or pop into Crich Tramway Village close by. The Heights of Abraham cable car rides provide amazing views of the beautiful Derwent Valley.

Emily Barn has lovely living accommodation well suited for a large group. The kitchen is all set up for preparing large meals conveniently or maybe you could ask about hiring in a highly recommended local chef for a special feast. The formal dining area is a sociable space and the south facing garden good for a barbecue or drinks on warmer days and evenings. Plenty of comfy sofas in the large lounge offer somewhere to relax, chat or watch a film together.

Bedrooms are a handy combination of king, doubles or singles which is particularly useful for 3 generation groups. Ground floor rooms are accessible although not suitable for wheelchair users. All are spacious and tastefully designed with attractive soft furnishings. Facilities are excellent with an en suite on the first floor and 3 bathrooms on the ground floor. Pets are now accepted for the 2024 Season. Maximum 2 pets per booking.
