This lovely Sardinian holiday villa perches on a pretty hillside overlooking the Bay Of Alghero and is just a short drive from the bustling town. A winding road traces the rugged coastline up to the estate entrance through to its fantastic flower scented elevated position with spectacular views.

Essenthia is a great choice for friends and multi generation family holidays, retreats and special interest groups. The owner has created a unique place where guests can relax, work on their personal development or well being, maybe a yoga course or simply some family fun in the pool.

2 wooden pavilions are organised into a horseshoe shape with an events tent for celebrations and weddings, forming a square that connects all of the rooms and surrounded by beautifully scented flower beds. The eco friendly property buildings are both well insulated with straw bales and finished with a sandy colour lime plaster making it a definite year round destination. The owners grow their own vegetables and visitors are encouraged to help themselves - how fantastic is that. High ceilings and exposed beams give the feeling of tradition and space. The polished graniglia floors throughout are not only stunning but wheelchair accessible too.

The shaded outside dining and lounge area is where everyone can gather for food and drinks, day or night. The kitchen is well set up for self catering although there are other options available. The commercial kitchen is also used for cookery demonstrations and experiences.

Accommodation is configured as 8 doubles and 1 family room. Bedrooms are cool air conditioned sanctuaries with tasteful décor and soft furnishings. There are 6 en suite bathroom facilities.

Quintiglo Bar is highly recommended by the owners for cocktails and fresh locally caught seafood. Alghero is a fashionable town with popular bars and restaurants, narrow little streets, beaches and ice cream parlours to die for. A great day out for the more energetic is tracking amazing waterfalls and wild swimming in the glorious countryside surrounding the villa.
