Secluded, yet close to Bude and the North Cornwall coastline. Field House sleeps 8 across 4 bedrooms; 3 king-size doubles and a twin. 2 bedrooms have en-suites, and there is also an additional family bathroom. The twin bedroom has an additional truckle bed. Elevated off the ground, the front of Field House features 20 metres of uninterrupted glass, allowing the space to be opened entirely if desired. With interior and exterior spaces fused together, the experience is that of a floating meadow retreat. It also has 200 square metres of outdoor living space across three terraces, which track the sunlight throughout the day so there’s a morning coffee spot and a western terrace for evening drinks. Larch cladding connects the building to the treeline beyond, and the hit-and-miss timber at each end of the terraces provides beautiful shadows throughout the day. Set in a secluded three-acre meadow, the glazing allows the house to blend seamlessly with the landscape, and guests can marvel at the abundant local wildlife; roe deer, hares, pheasants, buzzards and barn owls are all frequent visitors. Inside, a neutral palette of oak floorboards, clay quarry tiles and lime rendered walls maximise the texture within the house and provide a backdrop for vintage furnishings and artwork. Field House is south facing; there are 20 solar panels and a shady overhang on the roof to maximise the building's solar efficiency. It has underfloor heating throughout, and a mechanical ventilation heat recovery system which helps to freshen the air circulated for a more comfortable stay. ## Facilities - **Dog Friendly:** We accept two well behaved pets for an additional surcharge. - **Accessibility:** Please contact for more details. Bude’s Sea Pool is a semi-natural tidal pool and is a safe haven for wild swimming on the edges of the Atlantic Ocean. It is for everyone to enjoy for free. Bude also has many well-marked footpaths. In the town sits the canal with a reasonably flat walk, perfect for pushchairs and scooters. You can also roam to the Bude marshes, teeming with birdlife. A walk along the stunning South West coastal path in either direction gives fabulous bird’s eye view of the beaches, the surfing waves and the distant coastline.
