Newly renovated to a high standard self-catering venue for large groups celebration, Fieldgate Farmstead is ideal for large family and friends groups, for milestone birthdays, anniversaries, reunions and get togethers. Located just 5 miles off junction 39 of the M6, the Farmstead is ideally placed for groups from England, Scotland and Wales to meet up together and an ideal base for visits to the rest of the Lake District National Park.

The Farmstead is situated in stunning open countryside in a quiet corner of the Lake District National Park overlooking the picturesque villages of Bampton Grange and Bampton and close to the Haweswater Reservoir, with easy access to the rest of Lakes. The grounds extend to about 1 acre, with parking, a mature garden overlooking the village, a field where kids can play or kick a football, large patio areas for barbecues and outdoor sitting with outdoor parasols and a stone surrounded fire pit… all for you and your guests to have a party or a retreat.

Fieldgate House is a Grade II listed Georgian-style house, with a fabulous new additional extension. The house has a total of 8 bedrooms, and offers a combination of class charm with modern luxury. There is a games room with snooker table, a separate TV room in the converted cellar and a large open plan kitchen and sunroom. There are great views overlooking miles of green fields stretching to the Haweswater Reservoir.

Fieldgate Barn has a total 7 en suite bedrooms, is a 16th century traditional Cumbria stone barn which has been carefully restored using traditional methods to create a house full of old character charm including exposed stone work, old beams over the windows and 2 oak kingpin posts of full height. Now offering a luxury holiday house, there are modern fittings in all of the 7 en suite rooms.

Facilities

Spacious, each property has a fully equipped kitchen w/an island. 7 ring cooker/ovens, 2 dishwashers, fridge/freezer, microwave. No washing machine.
Groups are able to dine together in the dining room of both the house and the barn.
Both properties have been carefully restored, yet retain its classy charm and character with modern luxury. Each property has 2 sitting rooms.
Each property has 2 sitting rooms, and 2 TVs in each property.
Free WiFi.
The house has a library-games room with a small snooker table.
Both house and the barn have the combination of underfloor heating and radiators. The house has an open fireplace and barn has a log burner.
A total of 15 bedrooms with a mix of kings, doubles, twins and bunks.
Linen and bath towels are provided. Please note there is no washing machine at the property.
Several en suite bathrooms, separate shower rooms and separate WCs.
No specific facilities although there is one twin beds bedroom in the house, and two ground floor en suite bedrooms in the barn.
No specific faciltiies.
Occupies one acre of garden in open countryside. Mature garden, large patios area for outdoor sitting and for barbecues. A masonry charcoal BBQ.
There is no pool.
Private parking for each property. Easy access for minibus and an additional back gate entrance.
Smoking is not permitted anywhere inside the house or barn.
We are dog friendly and we welcome you to bring your dog to Fieldgate Farmstead. There will be a one-off charge of £40 per dog for the extra cleaning.
