## About The Property

Sleeps 2 to 14 in 4 apartments:

The Barn sleeps 6

The Wisteria Suite sleeps 4

The Folly sleeps 2

Barberry Brook sleeps 2

Available individually, in combination or all together for a group of up to 14. Please note that we do not accept hen parties or stag parties.

This is the ideal place for parties of different generations - every family can have their own private space and gather together for games and socialising, with the Barn having plenty of space for your group.

The Barn & Wisteria Suite are linked by a covered balcony and between them have 5 bedrooms sleeping 10. The Barn is a large open plan space with 2 small alcove bedrooms (double, double/twin) and a master double en-suite downstairs. The Wisteria Suite has 2 en suite bedrooms (double, double/twin).

By the stream Folly and Barberry Brook sleep 2 each.

On site is a shared games room with snooker, patio table tennis, a gym and a heated indoor pool and sauna set in a conservatory with exotic plants all around. You also have access to the grass tennis court, situated in a beautiful old walled garden, May to October.

Fingals is set in a secluded Devon valley close to the Dart River and just a mile away from the beautiful village of Dittisham with its two pubs, riverside café and the delights of crabbing on the pontoon for the children.

This idyllic location is hard to beat. There is sailing, fishing or boating on the river from Dittisham Quay where you can hire boats, kayaks or paddle boards, or take the river ferries to Dartmouth or across to Agatha Christie’s summer house, Greenway, or maybe trips on the old steam train or paddle steamer.

The owners Richard and Sheila Johnston, live on site and are available to help or offer advice at any time.

## Facilities

- **Dog Friendly:** Well behaved pets welcome by arrangement as long as they are happy to meet our own two dogs and promise not to eat the chickens!
- **Accessibility:** Unfortunately apartments do not have specific disabled facilities.
- **WiFi:** There is not a very good mobile signal here but we do have WiFi calling. All areas have free WiFi.
- **Kitchen:** The Barn and Wisteria, Folly and Barberry Brook are electric.
- **Dining Room:** The Barn can seat 12. Outside dining area and barbecue facilities.
- **Sitting Room:** Barn has half the open plan area for a sitting area with sofas and an armchair.
- **TV and Music Facilities:** There are televisions in all apartments and music with many CDs/DVDs available.
- **Games Room:** The games room has snooker, table football, loads of board games and there is table tennis just outside on the terrace.
- **Heating and Open Fires:** All apartments have central heating. Folly has a wood burning stove for cosy winter evenings. First basket of logs supplied.
- **Bedrooms:** Barn: dble en/s, dble, twin/dble. Wisteria: dble, dble/twin. Folly and Brook each have 1 dble.
- **Linen:** We provide bed linen and towels/tea towels. Please bring your own beach/pool towels.
- **Bathrooms:** Barn: 2 x shower over bath. Wist 2 baths/shower. Folly bath + shower.
- **Children's Facilities:** Children of any age are most welcome. We can supply high chair and cots.
- **Outdoor:** There is a seasonal grass tennis court, a croquet lawn and outdoor table tennis. Plenty of relaxed seating on the terrace by the pool and in gardens.
- **Swimming Pool:** We have a heated indoor pool surrounded by exotic plants and a hand painted mural plus a sauna overlooking the wild stream.
- **Parking:** There is plenty of private parking.
- **Smoking:** We do not allow smoking in any apartment or any other building.

Fingals’ location close to the River Dart is hard to beat. You can go sailing, fishing or boating on river borrow the Fingals rowing or hire dinghies. Country lanes and beaches offer great days out.

- **Location:** The village of Dittisham is just a mile away. We are about 7 miles from Dartmouth and Totnes, beautiful small market towns on the River Dart.
- **Shop:** Dittisham has a village shop and Post Office housed in The Red Lion pub, excellent shopping in Totnes and Dartmouth, approx 7 miles.
- **Food and Drink:** Dittisham has two pubs and a great waterside café just 1 mile away.
- **Airport:** Plymouth Airport 34 miles away and Exeter International Airport 41 miles. Bristol Airport (much larger) is 101 miles and close to Bristol Station.
- **Train:** Totnes is on the mainline from London Paddington - Penzance. There is a regular daily service (approx 3 hours) and a taxi rank at Totnes.
- **Bus:** The bus stops in Dittisham about twice a week. The ferry to Dartmouth is more regular.
