Large holiday house sleeping 25 with a hot tub for hen parties and family weekends in the Forest of Dean
Holiday Rental for Groups of Families and Friends. Forest House, Coleford, Gloucestershire, Forest of Dean, sleeps 6 - 25 in 11 bedrooms.
Chill out, catch up and connect in your very own converted hotel in the centre of the Forest of Dean. Forest House was once the home of Robert Mushet, the inventor of Steel, and more recently has been run with love and care as a 4* hotel . The ground floor has been fully refurbished by new owners in August 21.
If you love the Forest of Dean as much as we do you'd be hard put to find a better location from which to explore. The house is right in the centre of the lovely market town of Coleford, so you can walk to shops, pubs, restaurants and the Merlin Cinema.
Despite this central location, if you walk 5 minutes from the door you're off road and into the scenic trails of the Forest of Dean. You can walk or cycle for miles, traffic free, and visit local landmarks like Puzzlewood (where they've filmed Harry Potter and Star Wars) the Sculpture Trail, Symonds Yat and the glorious River Wye. Keep an eye out for the wildlife won't you, especially the wild boar (though they're more likely to run from you than vice versa!).
The house has everything you need, and sleeps 24 in 11 bedrooms. As it was a 4* hotel, the house is superbly equipped with 2 lounges, a games room with a quality pool table, a stunning dining room where you can all sit round the table in comfort and a real chef's kitchen with everything you need to cater for the party with ease. You can really have fun together, making and baking.
One lounge contains loads of board games and jigsaws and there's table skittles and shuffleboard too to keep the party spirits going.
Outside there's a garden, a barbecue (of course), a furnished patio and a funky hot tub area for a bit of chilling after a day walking or cycling in the Forest or canoeing down the nearby Wye. What could be better?
Bedrooms are all en suite most with a TV, modern bathrooms, spacious, comfortable, and (so important) warm. On the ground floor there's a double and a twin (rooms 10 and 11).
Forest House in the heart of the glorious Forest of Dean - it's what holidays were made for.
