This bunkhouse in County Kerry in Ireland is ideally placed close to Killarney National Park and with walks and trails from the doorstep, this is a great playground for young people to reconnect with nature, each other and to leave the screens behind.
Accommodation in the bunkhouse is basic but comfortable, and great value. Get your group cooking in a large well equipped catering kitchen and sit down together in the designated dining room made for socialising and lots of fun. B&B options and prepared packed lunches can be available where there is sole occupancy.
The bunkhouse has the benefit of a number of on-site facilities including a large children’s play area where everyone can let off steam, plus a TV and games room with a pool table, air hockey table and gaming machines. There’s also a tennis court on the holiday park site and space for outdoor team building activities.
The 5 dorm style bedrooms provide bunk accommodation for the children with enough scope for at least 1 leader room. Hot showers and toilets are on the 1st floor of the hostel.
Just a short stroll from Fossa Holiday Hostel is Lough Leane, one of the largest Kerry lakes – take a boat ride and see the magical Ross Castle. Hikes along the Kerry Way are popular with outdoor enthusiasts and the more adventurous can try mountaineering on the MacGillycuddy Reeks.
