Property Type:
Beautiful Georgian town house sleeping 10 in the centre of historic Bath for luxury city breaks and girls weekends

Holiday Rental for Groups of Families and Friends.
Founders House Bath, Somerset, sleeps 5-10 in 5 bedrooms.

Located in the old orchards of Bath Abbey our townhouse is in the middle of town but enjoys a bit of peace and quiet being tucked away on a central cul-de-sac. Founders House is an elegant yet comfortable Georgian house built in c.1744 by the founders of Bath (John Wood the Elder & James Leake). We have restored many of the original period features and furnishings whilst blending modern touches.

The double-fronted house retains original panelled walls, high ceilings, a walnut winding staircase, exposed brick chimney hearth, beams and fireplaces. Founders House gives you a sense of the splendour enjoyed in the Jane Austen era, without sacrificing modern luxuries.

This lovely house easily sleeps 10 people in 5 bedrooms, however there is room for more guests (up to 12) as extra beds can be made up in the parlour or other bedrooms (as suits you best for a small extra charge). All the beds are very comfortable with new mattresses, pillows, fresh white bedding and 2 towels provided for each guest. There are 4 bathrooms located throughout the house, all of which are easily accessible from all the bedrooms.

The house is made up of a lower ground floor containing the kitchen/dining area and toilet; the ground floor which contains the entrance, living room and parlour area; the first floor which contains 2 bedrooms and an en suite; the second floor which contains a bedroom and 2 bathrooms and finally on the third floor there are the remaining 2 bedrooms.

The property is ideally situated close to some of Bath's most popular tourist attractions, with Bath Abbey a 2 minute walk away opposite the famous Sally Lunn eatery - also the oldest house in Bath. Once you have admired the Bath's historic church, a 50m walk across to Stall Street gives you high street shops, cafes and Bath's most famous Roman Thermal Baths. Photographs of The Royal Crescent can be captured with the famous road just a 20 minute walk away.

We are happy to accommodate any respectful guests to this wonderful home, be it families, groups of friends or hen do's however we strictly do not allow parties and we ask that all guests respect the property, our neighbours and the surrounding area.
